    When he plays us I hope Leicester get the Keeper sent off and he has to play in goal.

    Good luck to him. He has done well here and got himself a good move to a club having a go. He wanted out even when Rafa was here so he probably fancied a change. Then with the way everything has gone, his stock being high, agents in his ear as he’s never made them that big chunk from a transfer, him requesting the clause for a reason, it’s just meant it’s time to move on.

    Gotta say I loved his words. In the words of an emotional Jerry Maguire “we live in a cynical world...” but I don’t care if it might be contrived agent ****e, he’s alright by me. We’ve had loads of ****ish players, he was always professional.

    Perez is EXACTLY the way Ashley wants to continue with Newcastle United: Buy them young and cheap, develop them and then SELL for a huge profit.

    Newcastle United is a development academy for Premier League teams.

    Some cracking goals in there like. Speaks volumes about the lad that he's put that out and it's made me a little sad that he's gone now but you can't turn down £30m like. I think he'll do well at Leicester to be honest, they have some decent players currently and will only add to that, unlike us.

    If Martinez does come in he plays the kinda football that Perez would have thrived on so we may have missed a trick there but everytihng is up in the air and with £29m profit sat on the table you're not gonna not take it like.

    I wish the lad well, top professional in my book.

    He’s the type of player who I can see turning out for Toon charity games at SJP and getting a really warm welcome. Almost.. but not quite like Jonas.
