Or why the not university aka the training kit. The logo celebrating 50 years as a City seems to be somewhere only your mam will see whilst washing your shorts . Poor attempt imo
Don't like them, we seem to be moving back to all the garish kits of the 80's. still doesn't matter really to me as there is no way my household will spend a penny at the club till you know who has ****ed off. As long as we win games couldn't give a ****e what kit we wear.
They look cheep tat. Only goes to show how good the Addidas kits were. Our Macron kits were better than this Joma ****
I agree, it seems the club are out of touch with how important a brand is. How many kids ask their parents for anything by Joma ? Kids want to be seen in Adidas or Nike for most part. Joma is a lower/non league/schoolwear brand. I think I read somewhere that one of reasons the club went with Joma is that their turnaround times on kit were much quicker than Adidas - something which had been a problem on one of the seasons where the kit wasn't available until end of September after the initial batch had sold out. However - the Adidas kits were so much better, and I would guess we are selling far less these days.
I suppose it is easier to turn around when you haven't got the demand. I agree it is the H&M of sports wear, cheap and cheerful. Most Welsh league clubs and college clubs are wearing Joma as it is cheap for what they are getting. I would rather wait for a shirt and have a nice one than have a shop full of shirts that they cant shift due to brand name. That aside the design is awful. But as I said before couldn't give a fig what we wear as long as we win, I wonder how sales stand up now to what they were under Adidas. I know what I prefer.
Nothing against Trebanog, but the fact they have the same template as some of the Swans merch shows there's nothing special about it.
So do most of the welsh league clubs go to total team wear and you will find loads of minor welsh clubs and colleges using the same template including my club Garden Village.
Last time we had black with green stripes away kit we went up. So i am seeing that turquoise/ green as green!
You're not working for the club are you ? The thing is, if it was just a football shirt that the team played in I'd have no issue with it. However it's more than that. It's an important revenue stream for clubs - which is why there are new kits every season. If you want people to buy it then it has to be attractive - it's not just the club that's the brand in this situation, it's also the manufacturer (and at the top end of the scale, the players name on the back of it). Last seasons third kit - the bergundy one, I thought it was a very nice kit but I'm sure that if you got rid of the Joma logo (ffs there's a backwards 'J' on the left sleeve!) and put 3 stripes down the sleeves with an Adidas logo on the chest it would have been a far more attractive kit, and would have probably sold more.
Very popular kit these days....But at the end of the day it is just a football shirt and brands does not matter at all as long as the sponsorship is right for both parties....
Yes I agree in part but using an Adidas kit you could supplement our badge for any number of other Clubs because its the same template they use . Personally I have no problem with Joma kit , its well made and washes well ,
