India could’ve chased that. Bit weird. Surely they’d prefer Pakistan to go through.

The chase was a tough ask - both innings found it difficult to accelerate as the ball got older - what was odd was that India looked more like they were protecting their net run rate than trying to win in the last 10.

I don't buy into any conspiracy that India would want England to go through rather than Pakistan. India want to win the world cup and have been the best team so far. There's only two teams they'll think could beat them and neither of them are Pakistan.

 

Well that was more like it!

Jason Roy is a big player for us - sets the foundation for the whole innings rather than the walking wicket in the shape of Vince.

Credit to our bowlers too who have performed better than I expected in this World Cup.

I'm hoping that will get the confidence and positive mood back in the team which was proper flapping!

Hopefully we can now beat New Zealand, fingers crossed.

The chase was a huge ask and once they lost Kohli and Rohit (both at crucial moments) India knew it wasn’t really on. But I don’t think they can be accused of going easy on England, at all.

 

I've really liked this format for the WC.

Granted the top 4 have pretty much remained the same but if they keep it like this for future world cups we'll have some cracking battles to get to the S/F. E.g. the likes of SA, WI, SL and Pak will be in the mix as well.

Can't see what will motivate the Kiwis. They will face India or the Aussies in the semis... ****ed either way.

England got too much to lose...they will be on it.

 

Unlikely to happen but if England tonk NZ and Pakistan tonk Bangladesh then Pakistan go through on RR.
