Ceballos Watch
So for the past few weeks various blogs and Twitter feeds have been running "Dani Ceballos might make a good Spurs signing"-type stories which are just that, stories based mainly on him being the sort of signing that improves our squad in FIFA

...at least until AS reported that we're working on a loan deal for him

 

I think Ceballos is a good players and he’s just had an excellent U21 championships. But I can’t see us loaning a player in without an option to buy, I just can’t.

 

I read somewhere recently that Madrid had offered £45million plus Ceballos for Eriksen.

 

Does not make sense IMHO, in the context of either club.

I've seen it suggested that Ceballos has fallen out with his agents and that contract expires next summer. Supposedly, he'd prefer not to have them involved in any permanent move.

Whether there's anything in it....I've no idea but keeping £40m in the tank to buy a full back seems like a good idea right about now.

 

Dembele replacement.
Another attacking MF to provide competition/rotation with Eriksen (TIELEMANS !!! ) .
A decent RB option of some kind (with Trippier/Aurier near future not looking great) .

That would be decent summer business for me.

 

SSN reporting N'Dombele arrived at Spurs at 9.00am to begin his medical ahead of signing a 5 year contract, with an option of a 6th year. £65m.
