Some central London areas have been found to be among the most unhealthy places to live in the UK https://metro.co.uk/2019/07/01/uks-unhealthy-neighbourhoods-revealed-10086543/ I did wonder at the bias of the research seeing as it was carried out by the University of Liverpool, maybe that is why 7 out of 10 of the most unhealthy places to live are in the Big Smoke. The survey doesn't appear to take account of stabbings, if it did then I think the unhealthy map would include all of London Looks like all you Haggis munchers are getting plenty of fresh air and many of the most healthy places to live are north of the border
According to the survey you've got lots of fresh air and open spaces to frolic about in Scotland whereas in London there are not enough parks and every other shop is a take away. Bit rough picking on Soho which is in one of the most built up areas of the city and it is all food and drink establishments 'cos that's why people go there. That and the strip shows and poove pubs.
Well in Govanhill anyway. The full half a dozen Scottish folk that actually live there. P.S the Scottish places were the in the healthiest bracket ya fat radge
Quiet life at the moment; no financial transactions for bodily fluid swapping with either gender (are there still only two?)! Still, off to Koln on 3rd August so might cough up some Euros in some dodgy bars with 'rooms' upstairs!
My auld Da had a caravan at Petticur bay so my formative years were spent in Kinghorn and Burntisland. Many a shag in the bogs at the end of Burntisland beach. Sometimes even with females.
When I was a sprat we (my Mum, my Dad and me) used to start the school holidays with a fortnight at a caravan site in Poulton-Le-Fylde near Blackpool and then had a week in Kinghorn during the final week of the summer break. Over recent years I have often, during 'home' benders, taken the train to Kinghorn to remind myself of bygone innocent times. I will always remember playing 'sojers' at the old pillboxes at Pettycur. Through the demon alkohol I had an accident (?) at Casa Cambie in 2015 so had to move out for a lengthy spell. Before I contacted the insurance company part of my 'escape' was spent in a hotel in Burntisland. Never got my hole in the bogs however I had a pretty good time for four nights before reality set in!
