I still occasionally play The Scream. It's certainly one of the best five punk albums in my opinion. The track 'Switch' is a masterpiece.
I’ll remind my lad that he promised it to me as a birthday pressie . Looking forward to it already......if I cry then please forgive me
Just looked it up, still tickets, get your lad moving and tell me if he bought stalls or circle. I’d better renew my QPR membership as well.....
Phenomenal - and quite emotional to see one of your go to bands ripping it apart after 40 years. Cheers for the company boys
Stalls then. Excellent. Last gig I saw there was Ian Dury and The Blockheads doing a benefit for their drummer Charley Charles, who had died. Must have been 91 or 92. A phenomenal evening. How are Alabama 3 going to play Hypo Full of Love without the Reverend? Good for Mark Radcliffe pointing out how nice it was to see a band just playing songs in front of amps rather than having dancers, guests, enormous sets etc.
FFS - how quick do they get this out?! Oh and I hope none of your neighbours are talking to you on Wednesday (or Thursday your time).
its from somewhere else someones just chasnged the title boys dont cry was the last song there as well
I really don’t know to be honest. A lot of the sound that makes the Alabama 3 will be lost for sure, but I reckon they will be strong enough to get through it without him and make a fitting tribute to his legacy. I listened to the album while waiting for the kids last week and ‘Peace in the Valley’ had me blubbing like a baby....went straight on to my funeral song list......along with Placebo, Running up that hill and Nine Inch Nails, Hurt........you are all invited...should be a good do
