It was deliberate okay. I don't like those moves at all, but they are legal. You should always leave a cars width if someone us alongside.
If it's going ot be consistent then it;s a penalty, but then there's the Hamilton/Verstappen consistency which means it won't. I'm not sure which rule of consistency will apply. Decent race though.
We didn't vote for Max to win so it must be a penalty. Brilliant race though it could be marred by more controversy. Can't imagine the fallout if so. Feel sorry for Charles.
stewards at it again. ferrari again fail to race their race and purely reactive to Mercedes. vettel was better and mercs struggling but he dives in and trip as his race away racing and they put on wrong tyres at wrong time. They pulled le clerc in for not reason as well to compound the error and max ate them.up. ferrari just threw 1/2 away max did great now we wait to see if f1 is a sport or a committee meeting where result are decided by sponsorship
well, an RBR with hard tyres 20 laps old is faster than a Ferrari on brand new softs. That doesn't happen often
cos they said they'd meet up at 5pm to give everyone behind the scenes a chance to predecide the issue. aka political strokes
Max isn't even due to go and see the stewards for another 20 minutes. I reckon they're waiting for the crowds to thin out a bit...
Sky said the investigation to be either conducted or concluded at 5pm. That's another problem with F1, taking ages to make a decision. Magnussen's pen was clear, and that took about 9 laps.
I get how it could be a penalty in current rules if you want a handbag and Pom Poms approach to F1 but if a car gets alongside you down a straight and then the inside line, I think it’s hard for you to cry in terms of defending from the outside of the corner. Max is the faster car and driver today, he’s hunted everyone down and he hasn’t driven straight on or anything controversial- it’s a bit of elbows out racing and I’ve really enjoyed it. Le Clerc defended magnificently the lap before too by the way. Great battle. Stay out of it stewards.
yeah they prob want all the fans gone home and see how.much the red bull boss will pay them to go away under the table v what ferrari will pay them
CLC saying that under current regs the pass wasn’t “correct” but that it wouldn’t have effected the result in the end, as he would have got past. Fair play. Trouble is the FIA have opened Pandora’s box with the Canada penalty for Vettel.
Well we don’t know the decision yet, do we? I don’t think anyone out there thinks those rules are correct tbh.
I almost hope for CLC sake the result stands and he wins outright first over the line in Monza or somewhere
