would be a result but can't see that unless there are some retirements or a massive wipe out on the first lap.
Just watching the F1 youtube live of drivers getting driven round standing in the back of an articulated truck. The funny thing, the drivers are all standing up in the back and the truck driver sitting in the cab has his seat belt on!!!
Interesting race today. Will be intriguing to see how Le Clerc holds up on the soft tyre. Will be interesting to see how Max can either attack or defend with Honda power when he’s surrounded by Merc and Ferrari. Of course as well we have a potential future rivalry that gets carved out with any coming together of Charles and Max!! Vettel starting 9th is also interesting because he has the pace to get amongst the front 4 quite quickly if he races clean. He will have to negotiate madman Magnussen first. A well timed safety car could bring Sebastian into play, and if the front 4 are racy with one another, they could allow Seb to get on their tail, but we will see. Valtteri Bottas needs to display the apparent Bottas 2.0 mode of Melbourne and he has an important weekend here to make a statement to Lewis and to his team. Those two could get quite fiesty. In the midfield, Carlos Sainz in a very solid looking McLaren should have plenty of fun fighting with the pack as he tried to sneak some points. He could be very fun to watch if he starts on hard tyre, goes long and then attack’s on mediums in the final 20 laps.
Ferrari say Seb came in at the right time but we had a problem with the mechanics’ radio so they didn’t hear the call.
Hamilton having his seasons wirth of bad things happen in one weekend. May as well get it done with now in one go! Hopefully LeClercs car stays together this time.
A MASSIVE congratulations to HONDA. A lot of pain on this journey- really well done to them. Oh wait....stewards enquiry!!
That was a race F1 badly needed. All eyes on the stewards again though. I feel like Leclerc was entitled to some space there. He was still alongside on the exit.
If stewards are consistent then Charlie gets a win, looked to me like Max made the contact happen by opening his steering.
Racing line nonsense? Seen it many times when you can shove someone off the track because of that rule without consequence.
I think the steward's office might get burned down if they strip Verstappen of the win in front of these fans.
yeh, depending on those involved. I think it was deliberate though, he didn;t push him far enough the previous lap so went a bit further.
Unfortunately I agree. I say unfortunately because we want battles but we don't want drivers running each other off track. Would max have pushed Charles into a wall at Monaco?
