That third sentence is important, because of course without it the assumption is that Adams is that imminent signing. Very interesting that someone else is close too.

To have most or all of them featuring in pre-season in some way and ready and fit for the opening fixture would be amazing.

Southampton are looking at potential moves for Mario Lemina, Wesley Hoedt, Fraser Forster, Alex McCarthy and Cedric Soares. Their next priority will be signing a centre-back. Surprised with Lemina being on the to sell list TBH.
