Surfing between Australia - New Zealand, the horse racing and Italy - The Netherlands; I wonder how long it will take women's football to find their Claudio Gentile or Andoni Goikoetxea?
The 'big' game is on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports World Cup. Australia --- 67 for 3 after 14.4 overs.
Got his ton but he was seriously lucky to survive the first 8 overs, I think there were at least three inside edges. You need a bit of luck at this level. Big score coming here just when England needed it.
Yep, got to take advantage of the luck and press on now. You got a nice cold San Miguel whilst watching? Fecking mental here, 39°C I can barely move
Struggled for the last few over Bairstow, looked knackered to be honest and out to a tired-looking shot.
Surely England's pace bowlers need to just focus on line and length here. On comes Plunkett and does exactly the opposite - 4 balls well outside off-stump and short of a length. Have these guys got **** for brains or do their arms not do what their brains are telling them?
Overall a very good performance from England and a deserved victory. They now need to bring their A-game once again against New Zealand to qualify. Cut out some of the indiscipline which crept in at the odd time today and it looks pretty good
Been out all day so haven't seen the game but 306/5 falling 31 runs short seems an odd score. Rigged maybe a bit strong though as Dhoni does have a bit of previous for this type of thing. If he was a horse he'd definitely be in the talented but quirky bracket. A much needed 2 points for England though so I'm not complaining if Dhoni decided on a bit of match practice.
Dhoni had a bit of a strop afterwards about the short boundary but it was the same for both teams. Maybe he realized he had no one in the team capable of doing what the England openers did?
