    Bloody well hope Ralph can get Boufal onside. Because we look like we are in the group of teams least equipped to deal with the VAR virgin season that is fast approaching.

    No proven pen saving keeper - check
    Calamitous defenders - check
    No ball playing free running midfielders - check
    No clever penalty winning forwards - check

    We are going to get screwed by VAR big time.

    The ball was goalbound. The keeper may have saved it so not a red but definitely a yellow.

    She was trying to get her arm out of the way so a card is ridiculous. They may be the new rules and it was probably the correct decision, but it's going to be awful this season.

    I can't accept that was worth a yellow card

    I don't like that it's a penalty but those are the rules now and she knew it as soon as it hit her, but if that's now a yellow card too we're going to see a lot of red cards where second yellow is for unavoidable handballs

    Why does FIFA think that officials can determine if a ball is goal bound or if the keeper could have saved it, but they can't figure out if it was hand to ball or ball to hand?

    The rules are ****ing stupid. People are blaming VAR, but all VAR is mostly doing is highlighting the inherent ridiculousness of FIFA's current interpretations.

    I’ve watched quite a lot of England recently. From what I’ve seen Beth Mead and Rachel Daly are very unlucky not to be in the starting line up. Although Toni Duggan has great pedigree she has looked really poor the last few games I’ve seen. Hopefully she’ll prove me wrong tonight when it matters. The Left back, Greenwood would also be my preferred choice. Wonder if she has a knock?
