I recon Celtic have tried to be cheeky and reduce the transfer fee because of the injury, surgery and rehab.

 

This is a good move for him. Big club, big atmosphere, big expectations. Play decent football.

If he has got talent, he will need to show it there.

Will be a good way to see if he can stay fit, and if he can perform.

 

Turnbull requires "immediate preventative surgery" to address an issue found in his Celtic medical, ruling him out of action for an extended period.

Opare is apparently ruled out for at least 6 months, so he won't be coming in as RB cover either.

 

Interestingly it saying apparently Celtic offered him £12k a week which is 20 times what he was on at Well. That’s £600 per week or £32k a year.

My first thought was "I wonder how much Max Aarons was on when he first broke through?", although Max signed an improved deal in October, so it didn't take long for him to be rewarded.

Looked into Turnbull, the £600 p/w was in fact his improved contract, signed at the end of January - so when he was already their top scorer.

Really does highlight the lack of money in the SPL - probably why we've been scouting there!
