It’s always going to be a step up for players to make it in the PL, personally I think Tierney will do well as he seems like he’s got the fight and commitment to go with his talent.

Yeah fair point can't argue with that. Although what leads me to think that Ndombele is the real deal and "Prem ready" is that a) he's been linked with Juve/ Madrid/ Utd/ City indicating there must be something about him for those to be interested b) has shone in the CL as well as Ligue 1, including a monster display against City at the Etihad which Lyon won and c) he's broken into the best national team in world football at the moment at the age of 22.

On the face of it he looks like Mousa Dembele with creativity, which is exactly the player we've been crying out for for years.

 

He does look good. And the interest from those other clubs says he’s got great potential. It’s a difficult one for players to step up to the PL as it’s so much faster and more physical than most of the European leagues. He’s done well so far though, and the £65m price tag is probably a reflection of that. He’s quite a big gamble at that price, but yeah I agree that he’s got all the ingredients to make it.

That’s what gives me confidence about Tierney too (if we sign him) as he’s got the commitment and work rate to go alongside his talent to make it in the PL.
