Huge coup for the Blake barn getting Harriet Tucker (who won the Foxhunters at the Cheltenham Festival back in March) to partner EXCELLENT TEAM in the ‘Lady Amateur Riders’ heat at God’s own racecourse, Newton Abbot, tonight (8.30). Unquestionably this has to be the most eyecatching jockey booking of the day, methinks. They got this old boy via a claiming hurdle, back in Oct, and he’s not fared too badly for them netting a couple of runner-up finishes from just 3 outings. The former 127 rated hurdler goes off just 103 this eve and may be capable of outrunning his current odds of 33/1. Is at any rate worth an each-way investment in my book. Is also bred to be a lot better than a 103 rated performer as well as the dam was dual Listed placed and she is also a half-sister to a Group 3 winner.
