Mike Ashley is a right ****.

Not on Allam/Oyston/Duchatelet levels, but just below them.

I don't blame Benitez for walking away at all, he can probably do much better.

Genuine question as I dont really follow what other clubs/owners get up to behind the scenes :
What is it exactly that Ashley has done? I've seen complaints of lack of investment but they always seem to bring players in. The ground naming thing was **** but didnt he undo it?

It just seems that as **** owners go, hes a hell of a lot better than most. What have I missed, there must be summat

I am surprised that he stayed as long as he did. No doubt he is a top manager, I hope he doesn't go to China. As for Ashley, I don't think the deluded fans should complain as much as they do. The club, their club, seems to be run quite well from a financial aspect and that can only be a good thing in the long term. Having said that, I don't like Ashley and try not to give him any of my hard earned, his standards are too low and he shouldn't be rewarded for that.

If only Ehab had hung on for a few days...we could have snagged Rafa!

12 million quid after tax for one year. That'll set up generations of his family with a wonderful lifestyle for donkey's years. Not a bad payday. Europe isn't disappearing.

This is it ^ ..... all his birthdays come at once - as good a manager/coach as he is he couldn't have got such eye watering figures anywhere else.

Are you suggesting there might be twelve million other reasons?

Steve Bruce odds on to take over.
Even some reports a deal is agreed.
They'll be ecstatic in the Big Market with that news!!

Steve Bruce is now Newcastle’s number one target to take over as manager and Sheffield Wednesday are braced for an official approach for their boss (SSN).
