In terms of what the club generates, NUFC aren't too bad according to Deloitte. Behind the big 6 and Everton. Ahead of every other club. All that matters is that we have an owner who completely lacks ambition - as you say. People have had enough of him and are entitled to agitate for ways to make his life as owner of NUFC uncomfortable. Are you arguing that NUFC fans as a whole are less patient or more unrealistic than other fans? Do you have exceptionally fat and hairy hands?
Thanks for posting that article, it nicely proves the point I'm making. Clubs are not making enough money to pay for the kind of investment Rafa wants. You have to realise Rafa will be wanting to spend decent money. Not 20m. He'll want upwards of 50m. He will also want to see significant investment in the youth facilities and training ground. The club needs to invest now and they need either an owner who is willing to foot the bill, or an owner who will spend on the never never. That is what all clubs have. The ones that don't are the ones in a relegation battle every year. The commercial revenue would be nice but we need to work in reality. Reality is its his club and if he wants free advertising then he can have that. Particularly when it was the reason he bought the club in the first place. People need to just move on from that. It won't change while he is here. It certainly isn't something which has changed since Rafa signed on. What it would amount to anyway is again just a process of speculation with our fans. It would not appear to be enough to meet the shortfall by most calculations.
Why would the club need to tell Rafa if he has told them it isn't a deal he will be accepting? If Rafa has told them he won't be resigning, the club don't need to inform him they are putting out a press release. That is just George Cauklin looking for ways to be offended.
It's the norm for this lot Their statement has to go out first so they can get their point across first It's called controlling behaviour
Try being a Sunderland supporter to see what real suffering is ! we have both been run by amatures in the last 50 years.
Expand? At least you’ve realised and stopped arguing this club can generate enough money to compete in the top 10. We are making real progress here.
