SoccerSouls gives a useful insight into the possible Benfica loan player: "Filip Krovinovic is a versatile attacking midfield player, who can play as a number 10 behind the striker, can partner him in a front-two system and is also capable of operating in central midfield if required. In terms of his attributes, the Croat is good at dribbling past people to create space in the final third, can pick out key passes and doesn’t mind finishing off the chances if they come his way, is physically strong on and off the ball and possesses good pace to stretch the opposition defence."
Apparently Reading won't be signing Nelson because his wages have gone up after promotion. I dread to think how much Naismith is on now
Damn. It is like Naismith MK2. Let's hope someone wants him (and can afford him!), or it's 52 x £30,000 down the toilet!
Marco, with an extra yard of pace! Looks to be a perfect fit in that respect. If he also ticks the correct attitude boxes this would appear to be another quality piece of work by our recruitment team. Let's hope it happens.
You say that, but we had the same agreement in the deal for Buendia, there was a promotion clause in his transfer deal which just cost us a few million more. Whilst our scouting system has worked very well over the last few years, he was still a high risk signing. At the start of the season he was behind both Pukki and Marshall for the RM spot, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that we could be talking about that Buendia clause in the same fashion.* *Ignoring the fact we'd have never got promotion with Marshall as our starting RM all season...
If we offer bonuses for promotion surely actually playing a game or two would be expected. You don't mind so much for Buendia as he was an integral part of the side but Nelson was just a massive pain in the arse from Farke's first game, didn't kick the ball once last season and now enjoying a massive pay rise and making it harder to move him on.
Is it true that Franke has gone? To Hangover I believe. Husband next, but we may be lumbered with Nelson as Reading cannot afford his wages. So we will still have deadwood.
True, but poor attitude had a big part to play. A look at Oliveira's history would suggest, to me anyway, that that part of him wasn't exactly hidden.
2 more players added to our U23 squad from Scotland https://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/spo...young-duo-from-aberdeen-and-partick-1-6122259 WHEN WILL WE SEE SOME PERMANENT SIGNINGS FOR OUR 1ST TEAM SQUAD???
Nice. More excited about the winger, but both sound pretty well respected. Fitz reminds me of Middleton, but on the Right Wing.
