He's done everything he possibly can at Newcastle.

They've done well to keep him this long and its clearly the case Rafa liked the fans and club itself and was promised things which have not been delivered by the owner.

    Not good for Newcastle fans.

Mike Ashley has done well to turn Newcastle's finances around, but he just keeps doing stupid **** like this and ****ing it up.
Benitez is a top quality manager and I'll be very surprised if they manage to replace him with someone of similar caliber.

Mikel Arteta's currently leading the betting, swiftly followed by two ex-Newcastle managers in Chris Hughton and Alan ****ing Pardew.
Matching them is the laughable inclusion of Jose "Not That Kind of Special" Mourinho. <doh>

He'll end up at Spuds when Poch ****s off to a real club, especially as Poch realises that he's won less than Sarri.

Fat Sweaty mongo waitress, he’s about as good as they could hope for but their owner loves the bargains, John Gregory on the train up to Newcastle as we speak.

If they failed to meet Benitez's contract demands, how in the hell would they match Jose's?!
He will probably ask for the same, if not more, than Rafa would.
    Chris Hughton and Pardew <laugh>
    Ridiculous.

See Lampard should go to a club like Newcastle, thats more of a realistic step up than leaping straight into the Chelsea job, we should go for Allegri or someone until Lampard is ready (if he ever is).

Can we stop perpetuating this myth that Newcastle fans are really hard done by and suffering at the hands of the big bad Mike Ashley?

It's absolute nonsense, he's not a perfect owner (who is) and deserves some of the stick he gets but by no means all of it ffs.

Much worse owners out there, they should be careful what they wish for.

I've seen their fans saying the owner can do what they want to kit, stadium name etc. as long as Ashley goes.

    Set of embarrassing ****s.

Yeah he gets a lot of ****, when the biggest thing he has done wrong is kept hold of the club too long.
He has been trying to sell the damn thing for a decade, but deals keep falling through because of his stupid, unrealistic, valuation of the football club.
If you have had something on for sale for 10 years and had no bites, then you need to rethink your pricing!

Other than that though, he has put his hand in his pocket a few times, and hired some decent managers. ( and McLaren, Pardew and Carver )

They wish for a better chairman... nothing wrong with that. Doesn't mean they will get one but they know that they need/want someone else because they are sick of Ashley's vision of their club.

No issue with that as such. My issue is him being painted as the devil reincarnate and them as the hardest done fans in world football.

    Some perspective required me thinks.

I get what you are saying.

Look at those two ****s that bought Liverpool. Hicks and Gillet.
That club was 24 hours away from administration before FSG stepped in.
There are far worse owners out there than Ashley.
