After Angus Kinnear stated : "We're very confident in the squad that we've got" When asked about transfer activity, surely it is time to stop being deluded, however good Bielsa is, the squad we have is NOT good enough to get promoted. We need more investment and if needed Radrizzani needs to sell up to someone who has some cash to inject into the team. Without some incoming players we will be in a worse position than last year. So people need to stop coming out with the usual **** and either commit to club or go away.
Why the attack, and the classic use of a selective quote? There was a key follow-up after the sentence you quoted: "We're very confident in the squad that we've got," he said. "They came very close. We believe they deserved to go up so we have absolute confidence in the squad, but as always we're looking for opportunities to strengthen that squad and if those opportunities come along we'll take them." That's exactly the position I would expect from an Exec. He's keeping confidence levels high in the current squad by making them feel valued, then adds a caveat that we'll upgrade if we find the right fit. What's so wrong with that? As it happens, I too have great confidence in this squad. Yes, we need replacements for those who have dropped out for whatever reason, plus those that will no doubt be leaving soon. BUT, for the first time in years, we have a humdinger core of a squad, one that has drawn in a large number of u23s & prepared them for the permanent step up. I'd personally prefer to use them than bring in loaners or new players, as we have no idea if the newbies will fit (think Brown, Baker et al), and we know that the u23s will fit into Bielsaball, as they play it themselves. Of course real quality signings would be most welcome, but real quality has to mean real quality - not just expensive signings to shut the whiners up.
Sorry but i don't agree, Kinnear is laying the foundations for NO signings, and without signings we have no chance, you can build the players confidence as much as you like, but the current 11 aren't good enough. Not enough goals, not good enough in defence and the goalkeeper is average at best.......
So you've read the emboldened statement & conclude the exact opposite of what he's saying? Are you confident enough in your belief to make a huge wager that we'll make NO signings?
So last season's 'achievement' of being one of the few clubs to be top at Christmas not to be promoted, the 'achievement' of being top and well clear in March only to end up in the playoffs, the 'achievement' of choking in the playoffs? This same squad won't repeat these achievements? Excellent news
Don't think I'll join this attack(for a change) I don't trust Radz one bit but I am prepared on this occasion to go with the flow till the start of the season. If we start the new season without any worthwhile additions and we just sell Clarke then I will be looking to extend my vocabulary of expletives. Point being Radz will do what he wants and couldn't give a flying f--- what we want or deserve.
Think everyone needs to calm down. Still very early in the window and most players are still on holiday. I'm not seeing much being done by any club yet.
Everyone knows about the Costa thing which apparently is close and if that comes off how can that be a backward step? Also talk as there has been for a couple of weeks that Carvallio is wanted as well from Wolves. Today it was written about in the local press again and all because it seems Spurs have made a substantial bid for Clarke? If Clarke goes and we do actually bring in both Wolves players this can only be great news surely. Bielsa wouldn't have stayed unless he was given the tools, so thats why I stay positive and yes I could be rong but why the fk we go through the same every transfer window. Lets see what happens before sharp objects come out guys

You've mirrored what I've just posted on Twitter regarding selling Jack Clarke. I would much rather keep our youngsters and build the team around them. Getting expensive loans in return with players who don't give a damn more often that not have proven to be a waste of time for me. Replacing with players on high wages isn't guaranteed to work either!
