192 posts and 3 on non political threads this month says it all SH. You have made one comment in a month, 21st May to be precise, on WFC threads. 312 posts on political threads in a month. I think the figures suggest that you are only interested in political threads. You wish to peddle your own political dogma, and when it is challenged you resort to abuse or deflection.

It is a shame a small group which includes you have highjacked the forum to promote an anti Brexit and/ or left wing agenda. As others have said there should be no restrictions on which threads posters can post. The clique has successfully chased off all dissenting voices, you are clearly looking to complete the task by banning me.

No I asked if you wanted me to have you banned so that you could go in search of somewhere where you would feel more at home. I have told you before that the choice is yours, but anymore abuse of another poster will bring it about.

The way you and the rest of the small band behave will ensure no new members will join, is this a deliberate policy? I feel at home with a WFC forum as I have been a solid supporter for more than 50 years. Provocation from the clique is like water off a duck's back.

Being a fan for however long makes little difference. I can claim a much longer period, but would treat someone who had only been following for a year or two in exactly the same way. You should stop and take a long look at what you say, and you will see where the provocation comes from. When people from outside the Watford community come here to suggest that you should be put on ignore, then you will gather that it is not us but you at fault.

Wrong, you seem to ignore those that complain about the controlling clique spoiling the threads. Most have just given up and left.

I have just had a vision of 1,000 soldiers marching down the road and SH is the only one in step ;)

In his opinion of course <laugh>

Just out of curiosity, what is the correlation between the creation of the political threads and the decline in the number of posters here generally? The likes of Norway and SLB among others? I know circumstances change but there's been a steady stream of people leaving. Some come only to the predictions league these days, which is perhaps understandable.
Alas I think this thread has already gone the way of the others.

I don't think we actually know Fez. Norway took himself off to another site that he liked better, but he seems to only be an infrequent user of that. He now appears elsewhere not talking much about football. SLB changed his job, and couldn't find time anymore. I know of the reasons behind some leaving because of disputes with others, not entirely to do with political threads, and some who have basically had changes to their lives which take priority. Anyone who claims they know is guessing rather than having facts I think. If you look at the PL teams on this forum less than half had a comment today. Maybe there is a general reduction in the use of such places.

Much easier to train 999 soldiers to march properly than teach the clique to behave reasonably towards non believers.

I have 2 questions of a constitutional nature:

    1. As the Conservatives are only in power because of their deal with the DUP, should the MPs stage of choosing the new PM included the DUP MPs?

    2. What would happen if the leader of the party winning a General Election lost their seat in said GE?

As the DUP are just bought votes, they have no more input into a process than 99.98% of the population.

The winning party would have to choose a new leader, or force a by-election in a safe seat to try and get their leader elected.

Has this thread morphed into a new political one?

The thread does appear to have transformed itself into a political one, which wasn't intended at the outset. Which just goes to show the interest we have in politics, and that simply closing threads may not be the most effective way of dealing with this. Politics is not a separate subject from everything else and can be incorporated into most threads if there is an intention to do so - can a socialist ever be a fan of the Premier League, for example. Environmentalism also influences the way I do my gardening, and where I take my holidays - which, indirectly, leads to politics. So the solution is to find a code of practice which we all agree on - and which applies to all threads, whatever their title.

Cologne more than happy to do so but if a person breaks it by refusing to comply what do we do. I am not prepared to go through or put up with any more.. We need the mods on board.. Or how about one mod actively monitoring such a thread? But has to be zero tolerance on abuse on all sides

I think that you will need a mod who can spend all day every day sat behind a computer.

In which case the thread would not be viable... Unless any offender is banned as opposed to having posts pulled?

Or can we set up our own private thread to which you have to be invited.? I know that does not work to well with PM's.

  19. Exactly. I know how hard it is to keep tabs on potentially controversial threads and I didn't have brexit when I was a moderator. You do a wonderful job by the way :)

What are the overall site rules Frenchie ? I have looked for them but found only some new site rules regarding the importing of pornographic material and nothing else.
