Have you seen the VAR room....all those screens and gizmos...the officials must feel that they have to do something to justify the expense. Come on, guys....we have to interfere with the game to show we're awake. There will be obvious things...like the Watford handball against us....but there are far more minor issues best left to discussing in the pub afterwards. If something can't be decided near instantly, then there's no point in flagging it up.
Talking of VAR, for those of you with an Amazon Echo say "Good Morning " to Alexa today. The fun fact of today is 33 years to the day since a huge need for VAR.
My initial reaction was a pen, but once I saw the replay I thought is was the shoulder...seen them given though
I went the other way.1st look i never would have said pen. But after the replays i would say pen. Hoping they iron out var tho cos its been so bad
Kinda surprising that 4 years ago, I stayed up till stupid o'clock to watch England and yet this world cup I haven't watched a single game. How the disillusionment has grown.
VAR seems to be failing to address one of the main issues that it was supposed to - that of consistency of decisions. Might as well refer the decisions to random folks in the pub!
