Exactly! He must give then hope that can get first team football. Sinn is to have a competitive squad, not just first team.
here's a wedge... seriously.. it's a squad game mate. if you get 5, 10 or 30 games is down to the player. Moreno wasn't trusted one iota. he got 2 games and we lost in cups. origi work hard and turned himself.from a nowhere.man to cl winner. Markovic didn't even get a mention cos he's a dick. and so forth. if you are approached to sign you get no promises. nobody in ye olden days did.
Exactly; Earn your place. That still applies to VVD, Alisson, Salah, Mane, Bobby, Robbo, Trent, etc too but the problem is there is no one behind them banging on the door!
Ian rush mate. day 1 had to spend a year to earn place the got in and scored loads. ****ed off to juve and spend a year back on our bench watching aldo before getting his place back and forcing aldo out. It's thst simple every player every day has to earn his place.
I agree with what you're saying. I suppose I was playing devil's advocate. You can tell some players they'll have to fight for a place but top players, you can't entice them to the club with that message, can you?
I think maybe you're reading something into that comment that I didn't actually say. What I was trying to say was, if there's a top player who may be interested in joining us along with several other interested clubs, how does Klopp persuade him to join us? Because let's face it, we still don't have the pulling power we used to have.
And there's a good reason why lots of players at City want to leave; Mahrez, Jesus and Sane all unhappy there because they want to be played as a starter more regularly than they are. If we buy one quality forward player, Salah, Mane and Firmino go from 100% of games played to 75% played. That's doable. Get a squad like City's where there's a world class (ish) backup for every position and you're down to playing 1 in 2 and that's not enough game time for the top players. Having two first 11s just simply isn't possible (not financially either)
utd pay 55 mil to palace for a guy who's been skinned in u21s. we get 20 from palace for clyne. should we demand they fumigate the money?
So market for big names seems to be heating up. Neymar to "somewhere" Psg to get a knock in exchange. Greizmann to Barca? Felix to atletico? Coutinho, bale, James and other bring makeweights to pay the bills. It will be interesting to see where money goes and how much the average fee it

"Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt has opted to join Juventus this summer, according to Sky in Italy." Better than joining PSG; better league with better opposition, still win trophies and compete in the CL.
alisson due to holidays firmino due to holidays de ligt due to being a juve player greizmann due to being too old
as in 100% assured to win double in Italy but couldn't go to a better place to learn the art of defending. the rapist up front really wants our cl title as well so he will be in with chance in cl.
if you've a list of places as long as your arm then I'd personally probably put juve ahead of Barca and psg in the short term for best chance at glory in cl. obviously anywhere bar Manchester clubs is good for us. I'm still backing gomez myself.
