oldnickyb, I know you like to think of yourself as the conscience of the Greens but even for you that was a tad over the top. I didn't read anything into plymborn's thread that said "envy" or "feel sorry for us". We are concerned over the club's future is all and yes feel sorry for ourselves. Can you blame us for that?

I am reliably informed that memory loss is an ageing problem!! Remarkably I CAN remember only just recently the pair of you bleating on about so and so football club (can't remember which 4 or 5!!!) Spending X amount of money on a player , some of which would save Argyle, it's not fair - ad nauseum. Sensible, 100% wrong, I am not Argyle's conscience, or indeed any other inanimate object!n ok I have been posting on your board for a while, always I hope trying to be supportive, EVEN in the case of DS . I saw your post on the Norwich City board Sensible and I thought it absolutely brilliant!! Full Stop. As you both know, there IS a strong sense of self pity amongst your citizens, but there you go. oldnickyb there is no need to slope off into the night and you are welcome to come on here anytime. The context of X club buying X player for X amount is not a feeling sorry for ourselves as such. It is more a comment on the way football wealth is going and a general view that for the have nots it is nigh on impossible to join the haves. This is ruining football from the top league to the bottom. The comparisson given is that a fraction of that money could save a club like ours which is not an untruth. Please don't tell me that you think a player is worth anything from £35m to £50m and that is ok as I don't think any supporter would agree with it. Don't tell me you think players are worth paying £200k per week tax paid when the rest of society is tightening their belts. It's not envy or self pity it is a matter that some of the world has gone mad and pointing it out.
