When you see the title 'Kieron Richardson is your best player', it is hard to believe that you are here for reasonable discussion...
I've got nothing against the lad, and sometimes feel like at times he is the sacrificial scapegoat for some sections of our supporters. However, to say he is our best player is about as sensible as saying that Ranger is a pillar of the Newcastle community.

when he plays in his best position he scores goals, SAF saw something he liked in him, and to be honest looking through your squad i dont see anyone who stands out as being so much better than him?

I think you have just proved MrRaws point for him about sensible discussion or didn't you notice the multiple champions league and Premiership medals a couple of our players have or another one that notched 2 international goals last week, silly

Ah yeah actually you're right with Brown but I still think Colback would be second. He's barely put a foot wrong and you can see how much he wants us to turn things around. Very cool head for a ginge 21 year old (apologies to any ginge 21 year olds on here....)

SAF sold them for a reason mate, IMO he thinks they're over the hill. And wow 2 international goals against who was it, Norway? Are you seriously going to try and tell me that now Bendtner has joined yous, all of a sudden that makes him a player of high quality?

I've always thought Bendtner had potential. Not Arsenal standard seen as their fans have been used to watching Henry, Bergkamp and Van Persie gracing the field for the past decade. I think he'll do well for us if he has a strike partner.

Not best player, but COULD be a key player if he is used correctly, poor lad just does what the manager tells him to do and gets a huge amount of stick.

Everytime i see him starting LB i worry more and more about Bruce's mental stability

Cheik, I appreciate the discussion its certainly better than most of the Mag crap we normally get. MrRA has a point, I think if you had phrased it KR has the potential to be your best player people might have taken you more seriously. I would like to see him played behind the front man, I think with Bendtner this would work well or maybe as a three with Sess on the right and KR on the left. I think with our lack of natural wingers and our abundance of CM playing 3 in the middle might work for us.

For me Brown has been a cut above so far, its true Colback has played really well and Sess has obvious quality but Brown has looked like a multi championship and champions league winner. I have not seen OShea play yet but if he is the same quality they have been excellent signings. I think Bendtner is going to find it tough going. If he had Gyan playing off him I think we would have had an excellent partnership but on his own its a big ask, he is a quality player though so I guess we will find out just how good he is.

Agree entirely, if bruce has any wit he will at least give ricco a chance to prove he can do a job in another position. always a worry with brown over fitness.

Richardson is Not our best player (i wouldn't even have him in the side), simple reason, neither is Colback by a country mile.

Best player is Sess on certain days. But sure O'Shea will take over that mantle.

Completely agree Cheik! He proved for a 4 game spell last season where he scored 4 in 4 he can play off the striker but its the ****ing Bruce factor again! Many of us on here feel that he is playing out of position at left back but the odd few hate him for some reason, which is completely bang out of order after his free-kick against you lot and he fact he has shown excellent loyalty to the club and his ten times the person Gyan is.

I would say a lot of us lads on here rekon a formation of (see below) will work well against the beatable teams in and around us. Sess & Ricco can swap flanks through the game and Vaughan is a ball retaining player, which is crucial to control games. They will also run in behind Bendtner and get onto his flick ons etc. Like I say though its the Bruce factor that cant see this. He may prove me wrong this weekend though!

You base your opinion that he's our best player on what exactly?

Unfortunately he's proved he's nothing of the sort.

TOTALLY this.. He looked out of his depth against Chelsea and disappeared for the last half hour of the mags game - decent young player but needs to be brought in slowly not chucked in at the deep end

I think the point is he is better than Richardson, which is more to the fact concerning your OP is it not.

I'm waiting to see how the new lads bed in before I'm rating anybody. The point of the OP is fair though. You don't have to be a genius to work out KR is not a left back. Let him get forward and start supplying the front lads with Sess and then we'll see how well he's playing. Playing him at LB is like letting Shola Amoebi play centre forward ;)

I don't rate Bendtner as any kind of world beater but he is better than Richardson. You don't seem to understand the premise of your OP.
