I heard somewhere that the Newcastle and Sunderland boards are the only ones that have not banned someone permanently? It needs to change. Especially for the people who come on here just for the sole purpose to cause trouble on the board. It's ruining it for the people (like me) who have been here since day ****ing one. And the people who came here to have a fair and balanced discussion.

Edit: I never thought I'd be called deluded for being happy my team are fourth. ****ing disgrace.

The other board's mods are very touchy though, often people wont even be WUMming and will have their article deleted within minutes, just because the mod doesnt agree with what he wrote.

Well see that's another problem. But I think I can trust the mods with the responsibility to know if someone is pretty much, taking the piss. Mrtiote was doing it for a while. (He's stopped now). Maybe not prema bans, but just weekly ones. I mean, when you see someone supporting your team being happy with the results and decide to label them as deluded, you need a ****ing rain check.

I would be really interested to know exactly what Pardew's record is since he has been here. I don't know where I could find it. But when everyone see's it in black & white, surely they would be impressed!!

    League I think is:

    W - 8
    D - 11
    L - 7

But I'd say it's more fair to judge from his first full season onwards which obviously is (league):

    W - 2
    D - 2
    L - 0

A lot of draws but compared to Hughton's PL reign there's less losses (despite playing more matches) and the wins/losses are less erratic (as in - beat Arsenal away but lose to Blackpool at home). He's steadying the ship as far as I can tell, and it's doing a good job so far. Hope it gets better though!

nb. Sorry if my stats are wrong I just looked at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010–11_Newcastle_United_F.C._season and worked it out.

    Edit - beaten to it!

Well I know some people will probably look at that and be critical but I would flip it and say we've got points in 20 out of the 28 games he's been manager. I think thats pretty decent to be honest

His stats are not anything special but consider the strength of our side and also the timing and circumstances of his introduction. Early days, he's done ok. Around mid way through this season you'd hope his pattern of play begins to take shape as players settle and find their level.

4th will do me at this point, there was a lot to learn from last night not least that there are no easy matches in this league.

    this

yes i wasn't happy with the performance last night and see it as 2 points lost, but when have we ever had a start like this from some tricky games people forget we have 7 new players (1 keeper) and we're unbeaten once they gel we should kick on.
still think we'll be top ten with this squad plus we'll get a fwd in jan as well and no i'm not deluded the table doesn't lie ooh i'm going to love seeing egg on the faces of all the doubters/experts on tv just like last year.

Although we were poor last night, it was nice to see us play poorly and grind out a result. Colo and Taylor look good so far this season and I have to say that I was impressed by Simpson last night. Raylor looked a bit lost but hopefully a fit Santon will fill that position. At the end of the day we got totally outplayed, but no doubt we will have games this season where we batter a team and end up with the same result. We're still unbeaten and we've got Villa, Blackburn and Wolves in the next three games. No reason not to be positive, especially considering that we have gained the results thus far without our most creative player (HBA), with our best player from last season being on poor form up to now (Tiote) and our main goalscorers from last season no longer being here.

I actually don't think we've played that well as a team so far apart from Sunderland which was a tidy performance away from home, so I'm grateful for the points we've got and there is something to be said for getting points from games where we might not have played so well.

My major gripe is playing 2 up front. I can't see the point when the major weakness in the squad is up front where we don't have any real PL quality apart from Ba who I think will come good. However I do think we have some quality in midfield and I think thats the way forward until the striker situation is resolved.

I also think Pardew will sort it, he's a bright enough bloke and I liked the fact he admitted he dropped a bollock last night be playing 4 in the middle and didn't do a Dalglish by trying to say we played well when we didn't.
