    Good Morning Everyone

Neighbours Bradford City have signed promising centre-back Paudie O'Connor on a three-year deal.

The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with the Bantams

Bradford say they struck a deal for O'Connor as part of a "long-term agreement" with Leeds.

    Thoughts?

That was not the only bit of transfer news yesterday!

Jack Clarke has wiped Leeds Utd off his bio on his social media accounts!

That can only suggest one thing!

North London beckons - I just hope we have a sell on clause!

Following this, Wolves winger (and well known Leeds target) Helder Costa started following Leeds on Instagram!

If Costa signs, how much of a coup will this be for Leeds?

Will it be a loan or a permanent deal?

Is Costa better than we have at the moment?

Do Leeds need players to exit before they can bring anyone in?

Birmingham City have sacked Garry Monk after 16 months in charge.

The former Elland Road gaffer was relieved of his duties after at altercation at the Blues’ Wast Hills training base.

It was well known that Monk had locked horns with the Birmingham City owners on many occasions!

Monk - full of self importance or undervalued as a Manager?

If Monk was still in charge of Leeds today (assuming he had the same investments as Bielsa) where would we be today?

    Morning all...

I think we probably do have to sell before we make moves to bring players in, I’d imagine Costa will be on loan which is fine by me.

Lots of activity seems to be building on those who have no future here, Cibicki, Grot, Ideguchi and Fulham wanting Forshaw, seems Bielsa isn’t so keen on that departure.

Sky said Monk was sacked as he didn’t share the same vision and way forward as the board, I assume they are about to go the director of football route?

Morning all. I won’t mention us selling the Crown Jewels again <wah> There was a time we used to get a full season out of our up and coming ones, not anymore. We’re so used to it most fans just accept it while others welcome it as a way of “improving “ the squad

Morning all. Spurs have bought potential, I doubt he is going to play first team football with them, but plenty of young players don’t develop as expected. We need players for the here and now to get us promoted so though not ideal I’d prefer to lose someone who might not be consistent enough for a full season. I only hope that we have been better than in the past and have added a sell on / buy back clause in the sale.

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

Jack Clarke is a fantastic prospect but we are in a position right now where we need to either get a full season out of the lad or cash in on him to finance someone who will. Jack cannot do 90 minutes every week yet and showed at times last season he was struggling with 45 minutes. He's learning his craft and he will know he goes to spurs as a player for the future not a player for now. If he goes I will hold him in the same esteem as Cook and Taylor and Delph. The difference here though is that money from his sale will deffo be used for the team, not hived off to show we made a profit in the accounts.

The same 3 players are linked to Leeds as a month ago and work is going on to get all 3. Harrison is a done deal as long as he wants to come back. Costa is difficult because hes on a big wage and we need Wolves to pay some of that for him to come, but if a team offers to buy him or pay his wages for a loan we will not get him. This deal is hard and would be a feather in Orta's cap. Young White from Brighton is seen as future CB star in the Bielsa mold and talks are ongoing to make it happen. Talk of another winger also and could be a keeper because of Kiko.

Monk was always going to happen because he thinks he deserves funding this season after saving them last season after a 9 points deduction. Problem Brum have is that they are under the microscope FFFP rules and struggling so Monk gets sacked. lets be frank here a lot of clubs in our league are now struggling with FFFP rules and why hardly any deals have happened so far anywhere. This could be the end of silly money in the Championship but for me that means those on parachute payments get even more of an advantage.

Please for O'Connor and it looks like Cibicki is being sold to his present club, Ekuban to his, Saiz will be sold in Spain, Ideguchi sale should happen this week, Grot stays at Leeds but loaned out to Vitesse in Holland and a whole raft of fringe kids will be released soon

I don’t welcome it, I just accept that it’s the way it is. We notice when it happens to us but it happens to everyone else too. Long gone are the days where you tell a player to knuckle down and get on with it and fans are none the wiser.

Roll the clock back 20 years and it was a lot easier to hide requests away from fans, the Internet and social media means you know instantly when a player wants away then fans become divided between “if you don’t want to wear the shirt piss off” and “don’t sell for any price.”

Then you get the muppets who take every chance to attack a player via social media poisoning there heads, it’s a different world now Eire.

If we keep Clarke for another season and it’s a cracking one he will ask to move on once a big club comes knocking. My view is if we go into next season as we are then we’ll fall short again. If selling Clarke (who was not great last season overall) frees up funds to bring in 2-3 players who can make a difference let’s take the chance.

The quick answer to this is imagine Sako with not just blinding pace, but some skill with the ability to finish as well.
A player like this should really relish the prospect of training and learning under Bielsa because it could reignite his career after sitting on the bench for most of last season.

    cheers

The first 14m that arrives for a transfer is to cover the 14m expected losses for last season Ristac. Same every season when the club is going to be running at such losses, Radz has already said so. A tiny fraction, if any will go towards squad strengthening imo. That 14m has been widely reported as the expected losses. So unless a. We sell further quality or b. someone else pays for them or c. they can be convinced to come on the never never, a la James, we will not be strengthening, just replacing. Sincerely hope Im wrong

    Good morning everyone
As i have said before, i don't think Bielsa would have stayed if this was the case,Bielsa is a man of ambition, not stagnation, he's focused on getting us to the premier league, sure selling clarke will help with this and an overall plan between Bielsa/Radz & Orta.I reckon we will be in for a couple of exciting surprises before the transfer window closes.
If the rumors are true about Costa, hope he can contribute more than our last Wolves signing Douglas.:(

Grot may still have a future here, that’s why he is only being loaned out again.

Costa might bring out the best in Douglas, I think Douglas has a lot more to offer.

Still manfully defending & hoping for the odd breakaway, with an entertainment rating of 1 out of 10 (on a good day).

Clarke has been blinded by the shining flickering lights of the prem, can't blame him, he's just a kid with dreams. I suspect the club also had something to do with it as well.

If Costa signs, bought or on loan, he needs to adjust to Bielsa football quickly. I reckon under Bielsa Costa will improve a lot, and bring an impact to the team.

We need to sell a few players to be able to bring in decent ones, small change sales aren't going to help us much.

Monk is over valued as a coach, I reckon he's in it for himself, just like Redders was, and look where that got him. I think Redders is at Forest Green now, isn't he.....If Monk was at Leeds last season, I think he'd of lost the dressing room.

Grot is too big and slow for Bielsa style football, he'd never fit in, Bamford didn't, so can't see Grot fitting in either.

A few good players brought in and we'll finish in top 2, providing complacency doesn't go to their heads again.

Craig Levien at Hearts says he wants Grot because he has pace and power so I would say a big unit like Grot covers ground faster than we think probably faster than Harrison

Good afternoon to Matt and co from a slightly sunny Bardsey
I feel that 20m for Clarke is pie in the sky possibly £5m with add ons I would be interested to hear what Doc says and the Costa saga or is this another sinking ship
