On balance RR I do believe we have got it about right so far. We had to sell last season. Of the three we only really missed Bobby Reid , and we’ll never know if he was a one season wonder, besides we got a really good deal for him, i believe we actually bought in better players than we sold and had cash to spare. Lloyd I also feel we got it right, I do think though we now need to use what money we have to not sell any more players but add more quality to the squad.
Exactly the funds are there, we need to see improvements to the side, not selling our better players.
I, like everyone wants to see us compete at the highest level. Imagine days like THAT cup win over Man U in 2017 happening every week? However, I would rather build steadily and ina controlled way, than ‘boom and bust’ like Blackpool for example, or get into financial trouble trying. Keep the faith - we’ll get there ......
Not really, Assombalonga may look at it “if I have a good season then I may get a bigger move” I think players look at things and think if we have a good season I get to play at higher level, if not the club won’t stand in my way if a bigger team comes in.
Ultimately if a player decides they want to move on to a bigger club we can’t stop them, no club can, so I don’t really see how any club would be more attractive than any other club based on those principles alone, of course we are more attractive than we were several years ago, that’s because we’ve been reasonably successful these last few years , so to say the only consideration is that we will allow them to move on does not really stack up. Of course the standard of players at a club makes a difference to attracting better quality recruits.
