It is total bollocks that we can't afford an experienced manager....Of course we can, And there is money to buy players also, Not millions and millions but enough. I just think they could have done better that's all...
Well who saw this one coming, another Jenkins signing no doubt about it, it has 666 written all over it!!!!!............
Very good interview but that is to be expected by any new manager....I like the guy and i like that he wants to keep playing the Swansea way starting at the back and keeping the ball....I just hope he has not bitten off more than he can chew as that is my main worry....Good luck to him as he seems confident in his ability and i like that..... Brum fans are furious with their owners as yet again they sack another manager who has done well......We think our owners are bad...
I thought he did a decent enough job considering the circumstances, strange one if you ask me, football aye!!.............
What has Monk achieved at any of the clubs he's managed so far ? Any promotions, trophies, making it to play-offs or instilling a great footballing philosophy ? Personally I blame him for ruining 'the Swansea Way'.
Rubbish. He holds the best achievements as Swansea's manager. He has done brilliantly at every club he has been at and the fans loved him....He is not afraid to challenge every owner of every club he has been at and the fans loved him for it.....The best manager we have ever had and well respected by fans at other clubs....Topman that will be snapped up very soon.....We as a club have gone backwards and have never been the same since he left....
Best achievements exactly what has he achieved ,are his " achievements" better than or as good as Toshacks where we finished 6th in the 1st Division , Rodgers promotion into the PL ,Laudrup League cup ,Flynn kept Swansea City a professional Club ,Frankie Burrows League trophy even John Hollins won something so what has "Topman" achieved ?
Funny how he has had the sack at every club he has been at. Most fans are glad to see the back of him.
I'm no fan of Monks football, and there is no doubt he started the rot in our passing game, but he's had a very difficult time at Brum, what with the transfer embargo, and points deduction, yet he still kept them in the Championship, so I think that his sacking is a strange one, the fans are furious, and that says something in his favour, would I have him back here? no way, his football is awful......... Sorry Dai!!!......................
Look at the record books There is no manager that has got the highest position and the most points...End of story really init....
Nuh. He got us playing horrible football. I remember winning 1-0 away at Southampton with a Jonjo Shelvey goal. We got hammered all over the pitch that day and deserved to get stuffed but we got lucky. I remember thinking at the time that this is not what I want to watch and not how I want to win games. He ruined the Swansea Way alright,
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...-fired-dispute-use-agent-clubs-transfers.html To me, it sounds a bit like Monk learned a lot from Laudrup
He did indeed get us to 8th position, but it was more luck than judgement, born out by his second season collapse and relegation position, where he was found out by better managers, and why he was rightly sacked...............
Agreed! his football was simply awful to watch, and he clearly learned nothing all the years he played under some great managers like Martinez, Rodgers, Sousa, Laudrup............
