Did anyone ever manage not to look a total berk in a top hat? What is this obsession with dressing up like a Victorian engineer?

If it allows us to have all 6 races on Free To Air TV I can live with it.

Must admit I don't like these fashion experts. The bloke the BBC had in the mid-noughties was often vicious in his comments, loved it.

    ascot,3 05: COVENTRY STAKES

there are few harder races to work out than those with 2 year olds, but i think,THREAT has a big shout here.his trainer spoke in glowing terms a few days ago about his exciting prospect, stating that he is one of the best two year olds, theyve had for a long time!also is richard hannon very much a go.to man for me,when it comes to two year olds.so,big chance!

6/1 Favourite for the 2000 Guineas Arizona now, sweet Jesus that's skinny.

I got 11/2 on Sunday Sovereign for the Norfolk and he beat Arizona three lengths. I expect he'll go off short for the 5F race on Thursday after the Coventry result.

In the Queen Anne Mustashry was given as running 10 lbs below his Lockinge run on Racing Post Ratings. Laurens was giving as running 3 lbs lower. Le Brivido ran much the same race today as last time 114/113 while Beat The Bank ran 29 lbs better than last time and Lord Glitters a whopping 46 lbs better.

Yet they wonder why it is so hard to pick winners?

Mabs Cross for me. 5 lbs better in with Battaash and she lost a shoe last time. Seemed the value at 6/1 with Blue Point winning weak races at Meydan of late,

This Johnston bloke is a terrible commentator. He totally missed out Neverland. Even when the race had finished and the pressure was off he totally missed her. Hoiles is a much better commentator and a good judge of a horse. I'd rather see him doing the paddock stuff as well.

Surely Blue Point will go to stud at the end of the season now.

Course form holding up so far. Lord Glitters second last year and Blue Point repeating this year.

Went to the Newmarket 2yo day last Autumn and saw Bell Rock win FTO like a really good thing. Couldn't believe he ran so badly on his seasonal debut. Here he is today. 66-1 but now 33-1. Does he have a place chance or does Balding not know what he's doing or does Fritri Hay just like runners at RA?
