Completed Sale of Blackpool Football Club The Joint Receivers are delighted to announce the sale of Blackpool Football Club to Mr Simon Sadler. The sale completed on June 13 2019 following both High Court approval of the transaction as well as English Football League approval of the new owner and Directors. Mr Sadler has purchased 96.2% of the shares in Blackpool Football Club Limited (“BFCL”) as well as 100% of Blackpool Football Club Hotel Limited (“BFCHL”). In addition to these Companies he has purchased the Football Stadium, all stadium related property and the training ground. In Mr Sadler the Joint Receivers are confident that they have found a purchaser who will be a custodian of the Club’s proud heritage as well as a steward for its future development. Born and raised in Blackpool, Mr Sadler has been a lifelong fan of the Club having watched his first game at Bloomfield Road in 1977 at the age of eight, as well as being present at Wembley on May 22 2010 to witness the Club earn promotion to the Premier League. He is committed to the long term development of the Club. Michael Bolingbroke, Ben Hatton and Ian Currie will remain on the Board of Blackpool Football Club Limited to be joined by Brett Gerrity. Tim Fielding will be an advisor to the Board. Mr Owen Oyston, who has not been involved in the day to day running of the Club since his removal from the Board of Directors of Blackpool Football Club (Properties) Limited, BFCL and BFCHL on 25 February 2019 is no longer a shareholder in the Football Club or the Hotel. The Joint Receivers would like to thank the management, staff, all those involved in the running of the Club and the loyal fan base who continued to support the Club during many challenging years. Today is a momentous day for Blackpool, the Club and the fans, who are at the very heart of this community.
"A quick update on the discussion that took place yesterday on the the KCOM Stadium gate... Lib Dem councillors once again made the case for making the footpath between Argyle and Walton Street a public right of way. But unfortunately, the Labour councillors at the meeting disagreed. The Council now intends to organise more talks with the KCOM Stadium Management Committee, to try to find a compromise. Our priority remains the same: to find a permanent, safe and accessible solution for pedestrians and cyclists travelling between Argyle and Walton Street. It's disappointing that an agreement hasn't been reached, but we'll continue to provide updates as and when he hear more."
Saw some metallic gold sports car with Kuwaiti plates parked in paragon station the other day. You heard it here first.
This popped up on my Fb memories tonight from 3 yrs ago. Great article Nash, Lengthy, and a few bits I'd forgotten. http://www.hullcityindependent.net/?page=news&news_id=1864
Just a thought but what if Harry's transfer to one of the Manchesters is the tipping point to owners going? Any potential sale, they could factor in assets such as Bowen, Growsicki's worth and future transfers, and adjust the asking price accordingly. They couldn't do that as they have no control over Harry's sell on.. However an extra £10m or so (?) is well worth hanging around for. Guess it's the hope that kills you. I guess they wouldn't have been in a rush to secure a manager if they intended to go anywhere. See he's only got a one year rolling contract.. I see Bowyer's spat with Charlton owners was cos he was only offered that, and the reason was they are intending to sell. Having said that, their owners run Allams close for ****ism.
I think if the inevitable happens and Bowen, Grosicki and possibly Henriksen are all sold, plus Maguire moves for big money, it can only be a good thing. Not good that decent players are moving on and we'll get weaker replacements but it will, considerably bring the price of the club down. If I remember correctly the allams were looking for £50m? If you take off £30m for Bowen, Grosicki, Henriksen & Maguire's sell of fee.. (15, 5, 3, 7 give or take?).. then suddenly selling a championship club with our recent history for £20m seems a reasonable fee.
You're correct. There's always that final, critical qualifier our current owners use to tip the yea/nay decision to sell : Are the new potential owners of suitable character to look after the legacy of Hull City's history and all the good intentions of the departing family ? They keep stressing they want to pass ownership onto worthy owners Nowt to do with P & L.
The club's up for circa £50 million ! Even if they raked in £60 million in the summer they would still want £50 million
I don't know if that's the real situation Julian. Have they had a decent return ( in their eyes better than having their investment over the years in something else), and would they want to hang around with the abuse they currently attract for much longer ? If they recouped their O/S loan to the club (player sales) would their accrued interest return satisfy them enough to offload a major irritation ? Or are you suggesting greed is the driving force here ? If we drop any further in the league pyramid, I'd suspect their chances would be much less as far as garnering much more return.
Unless they are really ****ing stupid (which despite being 'orrible ****s I don't think they are, arrogant yes, stupid no), under that scenario of roughly 30m coming in they should bite someone's hand off for 20m.
I still don’t buy the fact if the players are sold and the Maguire money comes in the price of the club lowers. Just can’t see it. Like the fact if we went up last year Assam said in interview said it would be still 50 million. Complete rubbish!
I dont think they give a **** about the abuse they get from us proles. It's all about whether the club will keep returning on their investment. Assuming they do get 30mil (JB/KG/MH+HM) and lower the price to 20mil, if for example Batty has the sort of breakthrough season Bowen had then they'll still be around to snatch up any profit they can from his sale. Dream scenario would be that all those sales go through, the Allams are sensible enough to give a percentage to McCann to rebuild and then a buyer comes in before the next transfer window.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the Allams try and itemise the value of the club to prospective buyers. AA: "These are finest letterheads at any club in country. Worth £5million. You don't think so then you are irrelevant. Best letterheads. No one tells me how to sell my club" NEW BUYER: "..."
