Premier League clubs eyeing Bristol City's Webster Adam Webster will be at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war this summer. Bristol City’s defender has only been at Ashton Gate for one season following a £3.5m move from Ipswich Town. But a number of clubs who themselves have suitors eyeing their own stoppers will turn to 24-year-old Webster if they are caught short. Wolves have been linked with James Tarkowski, leaving a space to fill at Turf Moor and Burnley are showing a keen interest. But they are not alone. Newcastle, Southampton and Watford are also monitoring the situation. The Robins have already banked £13m from the sale of Lloyd Kelly to Bournemouth this season and appear to have a fight on their hands to keep hold of another one of Lee Johnson’s main men. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-news-live-kylian-mbappe-16245759
Day 42 Southampton keen on deal for Adam Webster https://readsouthampton.com/2019/06/16/southampton-keen-on-deal-for-adam-webster/
If Webster goes , and Kalas and JDS don’t sign we could be in a whole different position than if we can hang onto him and persuade the other two to return permanently, These next few weeks are going to be huge, If he does go , and if a premier League sides come in for him can we really stand in his way, then considering we got £13m for Kelly , who , despite having loads of promise, wasn’t a first team regular , what sort of figure would we ask for someone who played a major role for us last season, has a reasonable length left on his contract, and is still only 24, I’m thinking £20m plus ? We could be left with loads of cash , but having to replace the bulk of our defence, and that’s before Josh Brownhill’s potential departure.

They were joking on OTIB when someone noticed the hashtag that this news will be in the Post later on,
Day 44 We can dream these two would be amazing signings for us- The strikers Bristol City are targeting this summer in 'bold' Robins recruitment plans Bristol City are yet to make a senior signing this summer but that doesn't mean that the club isn't working hard behind the scenes to get deals done. We expect news soon on this front as international matches and tournaments, the will of other clubs and a number of other human factors all have an effect on the process. Head coach Lee Johnson is open to improving all areas of his team but we understand that defensive reinforcements are the immediate priority with Lloyd Kelly now departed and Jay Dasilva and Tomas Kalas' loans having finished However, the Robins also want to improve their forward options - as they strived to do in January only for a deal to bring Middlesbrough's Britt Asombalonga to the club collapse. So here's a rundown on who we understand the club like and have been tracking, and who might be brought in this summer depending on what happens elsewhere. Britt Assombalonga Remains a very ambitious transfer target with the Congolese forward recently linked to Premier League sides and likely to command a huge wage if successfully recruited. The Aston Villa forward was of interest to Bristol City before he headed to Sheffield United on loan. Although his spell at Bramall Lane wasn't the most successful, he did score in the great 2-3 win up in south Yorkshire. We understand that Hogan remains a player that City are interested in and he is likely to be available again this summer now that parent club Villa have been promoted.

Agree, if we’re selling into Premier League we should sell at Premier League prices and that ain’t , I would hope they would ask much more , we got £13m for Kelly and he wasn’t even starting for us last season.
As per my earlier post , that’s the figure I suggested, if Kelly was £13m, then Webster who was a main part of our defence has to be worth £20m, surely not less than Kelly, I hope it’s just paper talk .
Hogan was good at Brentford for one and half season and had a big move, since then has not played a lot. Ask Sheffield United fans their opinion of him. He couldn’t even get past Madine in the pecking order there. And yet you say Reid was a one season wonder who has at least scored in the Prem when given chance. Plus if you read OTIB you can see where the post are getting rumours from.
