Putting the females on the prem punditry and wstchingbjamiecredknapp in particularvtrying really really hard not to be a patronising prick as the women throw out cliches constantly is hilarious. Most of the time its him that's the person feeling out of his depth and sticking to the cliches. The issue in the tournament is purely down to pro league teams playing amateurs. Wgsgvggevusa did to thailand (wjo were ****ing awful today agsin) was a bit chesp. You can have 50% of the top players globally but you can only play 11 so that's the issue. Another 20 years of league development needed globally but the point is I guess 20 years ago this wouldn't be a tournament and 10 years ago it wouldn't be on tv. This means many kids (girls) will be positively influenced to play more sport.
I also think that USA being the top team and most successful team in the world should be a source of embarrassment for all the traditional footballing nations (ie South America and Europe). Where the teams and FA's have should have the money to support all forms of the game Also think that alot of people's (men's) reactions to women's football (and women being involved in football) is ridiculous. Do they sit around every 4 years and say that they'll only watch Jason Kenny etc win an Olympic gold but not Laura Kenny (Trott). And the quality argument, I suppose that means all those supporting non-league football or anything other than a PL should just go home and nobody should bother playing on a Sunday morning. But the Goalkeepers are still a big issue in the Womens game.
The Americans passed a law years ago, unheard about it talking to a women in the us who's daughter got a scholarship for uni playing lacrosse. The law is every male scholarships must be matched by a female one. Any yank football college needs a lot of girls so.... thry get elite soccer teams. As for traditional football nations? Pure sexism
yeah, really haven't an idea about What options they may have there but it doesn't look clever right now.
Giroud is the only senior CF They've then got players like Willian, Pedro, Pulisic and Hudson-Odi as 'forwards' Back from loan they'll have: Batshuayi, Abraham and Izzy Brown as Strikers and that's about it. Giroud, a bunch of wingers and some average youngish strikers.
good shout there on Abraham. won't be easy for them to play cl and this. imo they are going to have to pull their necks in with league cup especially.
Agreed, whilst they've got loads of players out on loan, the question is are any of them any good. And to be honest, no. Think there is alot of very average players who would be suited to lower Prem or Championship teams, no way are any of them good enough to compete in the CL. Can see Chelsea really struggling next season if the ban is upheld. Can see them being replaced in the top6, Wolves and Leicester must be looking on with real ambition.
The rules only apply to others. If found guilty, which they surely will, they’ve won the league by financial doping.
Has anyone noticed Juventus have changed their pre-season plans? They were supposed to go to the USA but they had to cancel. They fear that Cristiano Ronaldo will be arrested on arrival and remanded in custody if he sets foot in the USA. Just imagine Ronaldo in Florida state prison or San Quinten?
Abraham isn’t good enough at PL level imo, I watched plenty of him at Villa & he’s nothing special. Batshuayi has completely lost his way of late, looked broken at Palace.
