Nigel Pearson's signings. I can only see 3 mistakes in this list, Therefore my conclusion is that he has done very well in the market. The future is bright, The future is black and amber. Koren Harper Fryatt Chester Simpson Solano Rosenior Mclean Belaid Stewart loans Ayala Gerrard Evans Mannone Guzan Bostock Vine
Who are the three mistakes? I could prob guess Harper and Solano (though he was great at Pompy), but whose number 3? The rest all look good to me.
Harper, Solano and Simpson. Simpson isn't a bad player, but we should have got Fryatt and Mclean in the first place.
Simpson, I know he popped up with a few goals eventually but we'd be in a playoff spot now if he'd have started a lot better. edit: maybe I'm being a little harsh but if we had of got Fryatt at that time instead of Simpson - well who knows ?
Dean youve missed Koren? There were a couple of tried and failed loans; Vine, sent back a bit iffy Bostock, one ( ok two ) hit wonder
I guess Simpson hasn't been a roaring success, but for 80k he has shown some promise, and December he certainly helped us with some goals but just hasn't had a look in since, which is a bit harsh on the lad, not even getting on off the bench.
camron stewert hasnt been the same player since moving to the wing(or could it be since not playing with simpson), simpson started playing well once he had a strike partner but then gets dropped which is very harsh but the two new lads have been class so cant complain
I am impressed with many of NP's signings - but the one I enjoyed seeing the most was one we had to let go soon after he had become a crowd favourite. Henry the Hoover. He brightened up a bleak start to the season whilst he was with us!
