Pogba = Delusional idiot - "For me I have been for three years in Manchester and have been doing great; some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody. Like everywhere else. "After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well, I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else. I am thinking of this."
Is it just me that’s thinking if Juve can’t afford £150m for Pogba, we should be all over Dybala like a rash? I’d snap their hand off for Dybala + £50m. Costa, Cancelo and Sandro can GTF.
Currently De Gea - doesn’t want new contract Shaw - fat Young - dead Jones, Smalling, Rojo, Darmian, Bailly - ****e Pogba - wants to leave Mata - leaving Herrera - left Matic - ****e Perreira, Fred, - ****er than ****e Rashford - wants £500k a week for being ****e Lingard - Strictly come dancing Lukaku - ****e but wants to leave so Martial - sleeping for the next 10 years We have signed a lad called Daniel James and are flapping around trying to sign anybody for £80m now... it seems that literally anybody will do. Woodward meanwhile is working on our next app. Pre-Season starts soon, so great.
Not really, Pogba 'worth' way more than a straight swap. If Pogba was to go to Juve then Dybala is the obvious one in return but it's more likely he will want to go to Real. I'd happily have Varane and Kroos in a straight swap, **** the cash. I know that Kroos recently signed a new contract but Real have a signed a bunch of players since and he must wonder if he's a definite starter now. Other than those two, forget it. Give us the full amount in cash and we can move on.
Can’t see RM letting either of those players go. The one I can’t get my head around is not doing a straight swap Lukaku for Icardi. Lukaku is worth about £35-40m tops based on his ability and Icardi is £60m+ All day long, even with his baggage.
Yeah, agree with that deal completely. If Real don't want to swap out those players then they give cash and we (hopefully) spend it elsewhere. We don't need the other dross they are offering. They'll make sure it drags onto the final couple of days of the window though, meaning we don't get proper replacements in.
If we can push Pogba (£150m) Lukaku (£60m) and De Gea (£60m) out the door this summer I think that would be a clean slate for the club, the likes of Jones and Rojo will just organically decompose with a bit of luck but replacing those three will be the basis of the next generation for the club, so I’d rather it wasn’t rushed anyway, I’m not expecting anything better than 6/7th for next season.
I like that the expectation is now so low from the fans. With the talent in the squad even without Pogba, we should still be aiming for Top 4. We threw Top 4 away when it was there to be taken. Chelsea have lost Hazard and Arsenal are not exactly any better than United. Top 4 should be doable.
I think there's a few teams looking at that 4th place and thinking it's doable. It wouldn't surprise me to see you, Chelsea and Arsenal fail to get 4th and one of the outsiders get that 4th place.
If we get rid of these, is it feasible to actually see if Sanchez can be of some use? There just has to be a player in there that might as well be used, and the three main protagonists looking for salary parity will have gone. Play him as a 10 behind a front three of James, Martial and Rashford in front of two CM's. The biggest issue was always that him and Pogba wanted to play in the same space, well one will have ****ed off hopefully. We still need a CM, right back and two centre halves though. Romero and Henderson can fill in for De Gea. See, I'm building a plan here. Hopefully Ole can too and Woodward puts it in place. Not holding my breath.
He scored an own goal last night which means he's now **** though, right? We're definitely doomed now.
I'm encouraged that we seem to be targeting youth - but I'm also concerned that we are, in effect, targeting the product of lesser club's academies as opposed to producing this talent ourselves. That begs the question as to whether our academy is fit for purpose and whether any pf the current crop coming through will be good enough to play for us - if not, why do we still have them on the books. It seems to me that a grass roots reform at the club is long overdue.
I don't think we're doing badly, we'll have Rashford, McTominey, Tuanzebe and Lingard (unfortunately) playing a big role next season. Other home grown players to come in and play some part and we're supplementing that with good prospects in James and AWB. Hopefully we can now buy a couple of finished articles to go with them.
