afternoon gents! downpatrick,3 05: CAPPACON is the oldest horse here, but he hasnt got too many miles on the clock at all,and goes well fresh,so hs last run might be excused, but he started last season quite well, and is not handicapped out of things.good e w shout.. hexham,3 20: this looks very much a match here, with slight preference for the skelton horse NOTWHATIAM,who has 1)experience already over fences and 2)course experience, which counts a lot here.
Another last place .... bloody flat racing What chance do you have when even the winning trainer didn't think he'd win!
Next to last ....... I'm picking up! Thank f*ck I'm only doing telly races - last one coming up, where I'm hoping that Victory Day can finish out of the last three
My free bet has gone onto Moraawed in that race. Think the blinkers and a better start can make all the difference here.
Almost a winner - a bit like describing your girlfriend as almost a virgin - that's my lot, I'm off to sulk and watch an old movie Good luck those playing on
Yes and I was on it. Having seen him win a couple of races with well timed runs I was hoping my luck might change with this one. Nope. Same old...………….. he wins when I'm not on and loses when I am. Another few metres and it was a winner. When will I ever learn, when will I eeeeeeeeeeeeever learn?
A day at York for me and not one favourite went in. Thought the 2yos fairly ordinary with no real stand out. Best looking were Ryan's Dark Caspian and Godolphin's Historic. However the latter looks a touch leggy at the moment and probably needs time, while everything happened too quickly for Ryan's colt. The unlikely winner Magical Max hails from a stable that rarely has 2yo runners, let alone winners. Nothing wrong with this gelding at all. Raheen House was the stand out in the 'Ebor Trial' but looked a touch too bonny. I'd look out for him next time. Mekong was very unimposing (so why did I back him?).
