I cant be ar$ed copying the article but both players have extended their stay with us for another season.
Happy with that. James as cover and McGeough could be one of our main players, this coming season. Sometimes players just need half a season or a season to settle in and there's no doubt McGeough improved as the season went on.
Ouch's last appearance was poor, which has possibly reduced his chances of a move, this would be to our advantage if he comes good, imo., I like both James and Denver, both are good enough now for this level, so this is very good news. It gives the manager more time to address the key positions down the spine of the team, we need a strong backbone for this league and three places need radical improvement for me.
Sorry, but for me both are poor, even at this level, thats one of the reasons why we didn't go up, thats why we lost twice at Wembley and thats why no other @ucker wanted them. I can see us retaining all this sh@te and getting a few loans in. Back to square one. Not having a go but why not try and improve, these two are pretty poor.
Bang average for league one I'd say. James is solid enough and quite a few people seem to think McGeough has potential and maybe that's the case but from what I've seen I don't want either of them in the first team at the start of the next season.
Said it on another thread but i think James is very poor from what I've seen and McGeouch couldn't even get on the bench at the end of the season when fully fit so can't be though of that highly. Squad fillers at best.
We will go no where with bang average players, the Echo and Donald say its a boost these signing again , surely we should be signing improvements. FFS
James: 3 assists in 23 starts or 2000+ minutes, 0 shots on target. McGeouch:14 starts or 1200+ minutes, no goals, assists, or shots on target.
I'm thinking we will and these lads will be reasonably competent backup. Hume will be ahead of James for sure.
Lets hope so, we cant under estimate the task ahead, the 3 coming down will make automatic promotion even trickier.
How to you work that one out, Ipswich were poor all season and have been in complete disarray for months, Bolton start with a 12 point deficit and are left with mainly academy players once the 'better' ones are sold to accommodate their administration issues. Can't see either being real contenders but time will tell.
McGeouch has far more ability than Cattermole but he'll never be popular because he's not as obviously physical or shouty.
James is a decent squad player. McGeough has potential but like every player from the Scottish Leagues he has the engine of a clapped out skoda. Id have made any contract offer made to him have the condition he must actually complete a beep test every Friday or he does not get paid.
Nope as he was an established first team product of the Dutch system and I very much doubt he's ever ate a battered Mars bar
