Take a look at the attached stats from the Football League. We are way down on the number of shots at goal. Just look at the number of attempts by S****horpe ! If you change the code above from shooting you can see attendances, goalscorers, assists etc. Make for interesting reading. http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/ClubShooting/0,,10794~201125,00.html
What is interesting is the discipline record for league 1 which shows us as the team with the least overall fouls recorded. It might also reflect the different type of game that CP is aiming for us to play.
Dont forget Kyle Reid against Bristol Rovers as well - When you add up all the Red Cards and the injury to Jacko is no surprise we ended up finishing so poorly!! In terms of the other stats I try not to go by them too much i.e. Scunthorpe have had the most shots (yet are around the bottom of the table) where as we're top with less shots on goal. That just says we're more accurate and deadly
AS LAwrie Mcmenemy once said, 'you can shoot on target from the half way line - so stats mean nothing - its the points gained and the goals scored columns that matter'
