The fact that there hasn't been any major wars between European countries for 75 years has nothing to do with the EU but more to do with the fact that Germany haven't been allowed to have much in the way of a military, and still don't. They also aren't in possession of weapons of mass destruction.

They usually start these conflicts, but they haven't been allowed to build nuclear weapons.

For obvious reasons.

I think Boris is the stand out candidate though I do have one reservation. That is that, as a known liar, we don’t know if he’ll really take us out with no deal like we all want, I fear he may back off. Ideally I’d like him (or one of the others totally committed to no deal) in charge, and although I doubt it will happen it would be great if they brought in Nigel Farage to the team, given his party won the EU elections.

This is because I think those supporting Brexit are so impervious to facts or advice from experts (witness the recent data from SMMT on car production falling 44% and their view of the damage no deal brexit will cause) that the only way for British people, collectively, to wise up is to learn from the experience. Plus I’d like as many hard brexiters as possible (especially Farage who always floats away when there’s work to be done) to be implicated in the planet sized pile of **** we will get in to.

It’s good to be back, by the way.

You mean those same experts who have got **** all right regarding Brexit?
All Politicians are lying bastards, that's why the biggest liars of them were barristers/lawyers

Yep, they’re the ones. Be good to leave with no deal, and see if it is an economic , security and diplomatic catastrophe wouldn’t it? Then we’d know.

Plus new experts too - I agree there’s no need to take notice of the SMMT (The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders ) when it’s a discussion about car manufacturing and trading.

After all, SMMT represents more than 800 automotive companies in the UK, so what would they know?

Did you have a good holiday or did it rain a lot and your flights were delayed or diverted, even better?

So, you're saying the motor trade is down because of Brexit and not the fact that those lettuce eating green ****s want us to go back to hoss'n'carts because we've only got 10 years to save the ****ing planet?

Since when did anyone believe car salesman.
Trouble with this Brexit think all commentators are speaking from their own point of view without looking at the long game on behalf of the country as a whole.
Also some of these top industrialists on fat salaries are frightened they may have to do a days work for a change to actually earn their money.

Sounds like you've already made your mind up, 2020. Not a very balanced comment. You don't know for sure it may work (unless you have second sight or somesuch)
