New to this season will be a mid-season break in February, with 5 matches being played on Feb 8th & the other 5 on Feb 15th. Games TBC in December. At least with starting off away to Liverpool we start off on a level playing field in regards to points (0 points for all teams before a ball is kicked) and do not have t worry about needing to beat them to catch other teams up. Will also let the players know what standard they have to reach like Leeds in the Champo did last season or will give them a boost if we get a good result or give a good performance
Sheffield United seem to have all their good fixtures concentrated into 2 spells: 10,19,16,17,12 in December and then 13,15,17,16,19,10 in February. The January between is 1,2,11,6,1 though!
I saw this about 5 minutes ago - https://www.suffolkgazette.com/sport/norwich-fixture-list/, but I've only just stopped laughing!!
Jebus. Fixture list tough on us to start. As usual. No easy games. Let's just play our football, and see who can stop us.
It's nice looking through our fixtures again, seeing when we are playing some of the biggest clubs in world football. Great to be back!
In comparison. Here are Man City's first 10. Amazing what "luck" you get when you have limitless money.
See what you've done now!? https://talksport.com/football/557762/premier-league-fixtures-liverpool-luis-suarez-norwich/
DF: "We are not scared. We want to play against the best teams. We've worked extremely hard for his opportunity." THAT'S MY BOY!!
I'm happy with having a game we aren't expected to win as our first game, rather than a game against a team that could be close to us at the end of the season. Once the first game is over, the players will be a bit more acclimatised to the Premiership circus and over first match nerves, and will be more focussed for subsequent more critical games, e.g. Newcastle at home.
