I’m going to go out on a limb here and say all this is just a load of rubbish.

Here’s a spin on it though maybe the new owners are actually waiting for rafas contract to run down. If he has a contract offer on the table and he signs it after a deal goes through then they have to pay instant compensation to get rid of they want a different manager.

Crikey I really am clutching at straws eh. Back to being negative. We won’t get taken over, we will lose Rafa and we will sell our best player..... oh wait we don’t own Rondon. Ah **** it’s even worse that I thought... arghhhhhh

 

Think the fact that no one is talking about Rafa’s contract, including Rafa, is a sure sign that something is happening. Once the deal goes through it will all be sorted.

Mike Ashley has set the bar very high in the last decade when it comes to incompetence for communication.

This isn't Ashley style inept communication. This is a total silence across the board. Maintaining silence requires discipline. Discipline suggests progress.

There has to be something going on! I said the other week these Sheikhs are either loony bin mental or very optimistic the deal is going through to come out in the press spouting all the "Done deal, fee agreed, paperwork sent in" nonsense if it isn't true.

The bit I don't get is the "No comment" from the club, if there is no offer you'd think they'd say so, if there is an offer then surely not beyond the realms of possibility to say "there is an offer on the table"!

 

Unless they have signed an agreement that neither party will publicly comment on the negotiations.

The silence is due a non-disclosure agreement. Both parties are waiting for the PL to ratify BZG. Once they do that the contracts can be signed and exchanged.

I am willing to bet that Benitez has signed a new contract and it will be announced at the same time as the sale.
