I've now gone through another 3 pages, some brave souls are trying to stick to the topic but still this goes on and on.

A long time, probably from when it first started. Are you trying to divert me from the topic in order to show how it happens? fair enough but I've answered and will not be putting up pages and pages of comments.
Back to the subject - I know a couple of people who are cancelling their membership anticipating an opening game when we will not know who the hell the team are. Just can' believe year after year we are in this position. I'm hanging on for the moment but it is going to be harder than ever to keep going. The Allams put out press releases trying to convince everyone they know what they are doing, pretending to have lots of applications. I doubt anyone believe them anymore. Just the usual mess we have come to expect.

 

I think you make a fair point. I've had a look and there's a fair cross section of posters that joined in the discussion in one form or another, so I'm not going to move what's here, apart from much else it'd take too long, but can anyone wanting to discuss the pro's and cons of My Generation start a fresh thread and save this one for those Only Making Plans for Nigel from this point forward?

I think most owners seeing the fall in crowds would make some change in their mindset !

 

Suggestion. Freeze this thread. Start a new one for the "Only Making Plans for Nigel", whatever that means, and it should be plain sailing.

Totally agree. Before football bent over & got dry shafted by Rupert Murdoch & Sky TV flooding the game with obscene amounts of money that has totally ruined football for lifelong supporters (I detest the Premier League & everything it stands for = greed). Sky TV runs football now not the totally useless,spineless FA (or sweet FA as they should be called)

 

No one tells them how to run their business.

So sad reading stuff like this. A good manager who im convinced could have done something really special here given the right support. Someone who really was happy and proud to be at our club. And a thoroughly decent bloke.
Allams, I despise you.

 

Hopefully Adkins will give an interview on 1 July (the day after he receives his final monthly salary).
He should not be restricted by a gagging order like Barmby was and he can reveal all.
I heard his coaching staff budget was to be reduced next season and the owners suggested Crosby would not been retained to save money.
Adkins insisted on keeping him and offered a reduction in his salary to pay Crosby.
I guess the sticky condition in the contract offered was no compensation if and when he was sacked because of poor results due sale of our best players and lack of good quality/cheap replacements by Darnborough/Allum- a factor Adkins has no control over.

Rosenior now at 8/1 for the job.. He was 2nd favourite for the boro job but he seems to have dropped out of that.

Do you think he's even applying for jobs at this stage in his career? He's only been coaching at Brighton for a season or 2

 

He's best staying where he is .
