Well KMag stacked it in Q2 so some, like Max couldn't finish their hot lap. Plus Bottas spun on his hot lap!!!!
trying hard not to read the comments till I have seen the quali for myself, thankfully I am watching live tomorrow.
Well, I suppose it's nice to be at a track where mistakes are so costly. Leclerc is can still recover, but the others have no hope of winning now. I've become very used to "That was a terrible lap" being followed by the driver being P2. Looks like it was a good show of engine power. Ferrari on top, Renault much improved and Honda still struggling (though not as badly as before)
OK, that was a surprise quali. Vettel needs to keep the lead for the first 6 corners and can maybe stretch the lead for the rest of the lap or Lewis needs to take the lead by the end of turn 6 and pull a sufficient lead in first 3 laps to survive the DRS zones. No doubt some muddying of the water by le Clerc. Go Danny, Go!! Let Verstappen breath your exhaust!
Just got to hope this race goes better for Vettel than the last time he had pole What a nice change to have a grid that leaves us looking forward to the race.
Anyone think Verstappen and Sainz will manage to avoid a bump? I suspect that could get feisty if Sainz was to get ahead at the start. What do people think of the Renault PU performance so far this weekend? A pleasant surprise?
He pressed the hyperspace button, but nothing happened. Last heard on the team radio saying “It’s not my fault!” Sorry, that might have been a different Lando.
Well. Pretty sure they could have had a 1-2 if they brought Charles in straight after Seb. But to be fair to Ferrari shafting Leclerc is probably deliberate strategy.
