https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48544778 Forgone conclusion I would have thought. Better than the Warburtons Bread or Bet 30917891 stadium by far
Wow. Impressive. Well done, QPR, I'm very proud. (But could we drop the "foundation" bit otherwise it's a bit wordy.)
So proud that our club have made this gesture, it is great that in a sport where money seems to be all that matters we are able to rise above that. Fantastic initiative from all at the club!
Just catching up on things....... Brilliant piece of work by Club, we do get things so right off the pitch.....
Seemed like a shoe-in for the naming, and rightly so. A strong link to the club and a well deserved fight against this horrible crime that is sweeping the nation. Look forward to hearing some of the pro-active work that follows this through. Well done QPR.
On another charitable point, Özil, who always seems like a rather detached individual, is marking his wedding by funding surgery for 1,000 children with burns, cleft palates and club feet in countries where they would not normally get treated. He spent his £240,000 World Cup 2014 earnings in a similar way. Nice one sir.
On a week that I’m giving my first talk in my old school, in behalf of the LAS about the perils of knife crime, ......the news couldn’t be better.
Publicity, profile and exposure for the Foundation. Every time someone on the radio says ‘now to the Kiyan Prince Foundation stadium’ a few people will think ‘what?’, look it up, and even if a tiny fraction of those few then think ‘that’s a good cause’ and send a couple of quid, or do something to support the aims of the Foundation, it’s worth it. Even better if it’s a kid who might carry a knife and is given cause to think about this, and decide not to. In the first few months the commentators/reporters will probably explain the Foundation anyway, which is also good. In addition, as a couple of posts on this thread have already shown, it improves our club’s battered reputation, currently standing at ‘ship of fools’, which is in itself an improvement on ‘feckless ****ers trying to buy success’ with fans of other clubs. It’s called behavioural economics.
