Really looking forward to GREAT BEAR’s next appearance on the racecourse which takes place of the morrow (5.05 Newmarket). Won’t bore everyone senseless by going on about him loads once again (done that, got the T-shirt) but will simply say would hope he would (i) win well and then (ii) get the necessary weight increase to see him scrape into the foot of the handicap for the ‘King George V Handicap’ at the Royal meeting in just under a fortnights time. Great Bear (who is wonderfully bred being a son of an Irish Oaks winner who is a half-sister to Nathaniel) looks nicely treated off 81 tomorrow and has shown decent promise in 2 out of his 3 runs to date – let’s hope that is 3 out of 4 in just over 24 hours, team. Please note that no moles / insiders / contacts (delete as appropriate) were cultivated in the putting together of the above paragraph. Also, there were no texts between me and connections. Good luck all.
One I like in the 3.00 hay is intense romance. Intense focus is a stallion I’ve always liked and seems to do well with distances up to seven furlongs. This one will appreciate the ground and is a cd winner. A bit short price wise for me so all in for one bet today Cheers.
A couple for me today. 2.45 Newmarket Theglasgowwarrior 3.00 Haydock Intense Romance Good luck all, have a good weekend
Odd Saturday's racing with bog like conditions at Haydock and allegedly rattling top of the ground at Newmarket. Given the rain we've had in Shropshire in the last 24 hours I don't doubt that Haydock is very easy under foot but good to firm at Newmarket? Have they missed all the rain or will there be an adjustment after the first race?
I would have thought ole Queenie's birthday celebrations would have been top of your agenda today SBC...?? Top stuff, what, ole boy. GnT's a plenty, doffing of caps and a general well being of being ruled by the ole girl... Long may she reign...
Soie D'Leau ew @ 33/1 4.10 Haydock. Bottom weight and very decent record on easy ground. Good luck all.
Not been much rain here Chan for quite a while, although it has been raining most of the morning. afternoon gents! beverley,1 25: ELERFAAN is very much one to consider here.this late-maturing sort ran a fine race last time out, only denied in the final final strides.he deservers a change of luck.
good call, reeobok!wd. haydock,1 45: a slightly depleted field here, but MIND THE CRACK created a very good impression last time out, even though this is much tougher today.but he has loads of potential to do even better, and this opening mark looks fair.
Intrigued by the money for Tuite stable debutante Fame and Fortune in the 6.45 at Lingfield, which did show some promise for Loughnane on debut.
Great Bear has been found a good opportunity in his first Handicap. I don't like maidens who are favourite in Handicap company so went with Great Bear at 3/1 over Fav Gravitas. At Beverley in the 2.00 I thought Execlusive looked speedy last time. She's not a big filly but her pace may be an asset today. 6/1 seemed worth a poke on a weak Saturday for quality. Great Bear 3/1 Execlusive 6/1
thx a lot! beverley,2 00: a very level field here, and all bar one have already shown some ability so far,but EXECLUSIVE has already an course and distance win to her name, which gives her a narrow vote today..
