With Moreno gone do we have any really weak players in the squad anymore? (Not including kids)

I think for the first time that I can recall, we finally have a squad that doesn't contain any players that leave me quaking when I see them about to come on for us.

Sure... Big gap between our top players and some of the squad players... But there is no truly weak link anymore.

Who would you consider the weak link now?

The complete absence of cover for LB and RB is a concern. However there is no one to pinpoint that weakness at.

Mignolet is fine as a back up keeper imo and that's what he will be if he leaves.

Lovren is a good shout, Matip grew into his role with Van Dijk. Would still like to see how Matip and Gomez would get on together with no Van Dijk

Origi despite heroics still isnt good enough, but he doesn't fill me with dread anymore.
    Lallana does

as a no 2 mingolet is a fine option. very good. people having bad attitude is just frustrations.

as a no 3 Lovren is alright. let's face it. he's a bit of a laugh for salah and that's fine by me. he's a moron when he panics but he's not that bad either. if you stick him in he will do an ok job in most games.

the real test of this is not "oh it's one game and the lad that is replaced is on bench"

the test is "have him for 3 month in your site then is it weak"

if Liverpool lose any one of the front 3 it's a big issue.

last year city lost aguero for a few weeks and Jesus played. he wasn't great at outset but he got his games in and improved.

if city lost sterling then sane and mahrez would play...

    etc

for me origi at lw for 3 months is not a pretty thought.

    shaqiri in for salah?

    brewster or origi for firmino??

the midfield is actually stronger as we had no ox for 12 month and got 97 points... might say no lallana for 95% of time too.

we are weak in cover in full backs yes but what will kill us next year is injuries up top.

Towards the end of the year last year (which was last time Lovren got a regular run out) Lovren was excellent.

He's definitely a much better defender now than when he first started with us. I think the same is true for Lala. (Only Lala isn't a defender of course).

Migs... Yeah, I wouldn't want him in first team... But he doesn't worry me too badly. He's definitely a huge step down from Becker.

Migs is probably the best backup keeper we've had in decades.

we've never had an actually good back up keeper. of course Utd apparently have a world class one but that's cos they are rich or something... the rest of us mere ordinary club like city or arsenal or Chelsea have to make do with alright....

mingolet can stop shots and save pens. he can take goal kicks. the end.

can come out, can't catch worth a mean and is pants at passing... but he's a traditional keeper and a good lad. he's play for.most clubs like everton

I've always been a bit uh, oh, with Origi. Scored some amazingly important goals for us this season. Is there a sell by date on freakishly being in the right place at the right time?

I believe Origi can improve If wants to, his attitude is encouraging. He has not been complaining when he's not playing. Jurgen Klopp has believe in him.

Origi is a mediocre footballer, but he scores goals... And that's what wins games... As long as he keeps scoring goals and I'm going to stop complaining about him.

The big risk is he gets a contract and stop trying as hard.

You have to wonder if he's been told by his agent he will end up playing for Everton if he's not careful... work hard lad and good club will see it. Your attitude at Wolfsburg was dire

I like him and think he's perfect as a impact player from the bench. However, he's at his peak value right now too.

We are in trouble if either full backs or any of front three are out for extended periods

Our weakest link is our squad depth. Quality cover for front 3 and decent cover for full backs. Plus that midfielder that offers us something different.
