What is it with the red numbers etc . See it often when reading threads , but means bugger all, to me !
Some collapse by Sri Lanka against Afghanistan . They were 140 odd for 1 , now 182-8 . Rain stops play .
Somerset need to defend 266 to retake top spot. Although the scores in that one are heading in one direction. After making some big name signings over the winter, Notts are facing yet another thrashing. Shame...
From the bbc NZ v Bangladesh . Ross Taylor cuts a four away off the back foot. Glum faces a plenty in the Bangladesh end. Which is actually quite hard to pull off when you're dressed as a tiger.
Typical, I turned on to watch just after the fifth wicket. Now Smith and Carey will go on and get a 150 partnership. Think I'll just turn it off again and come back in an hour.
Too right. What gets me is that it shows how much the game has changed. A few years ago a team reduced to 79-5 would have been screwed
Well done Somerset. Keeping my fingers crossed that they finally get their Maiden title. T20 for Hampshire.
Just caught up with this, what a brilliant result! Somerset back on top with a 15 point cushion over Hampshire. #unbeaten
The first part is true. Your county, Chilcs, were robbed in 2016. To this day I am baffled how Middlesex managed to bowl out Yorkshire in around 2 hours on the final day of the season. It smelt of an incredible stitch up.
Thanks Gary!! You are right but I am not going to change. Years ago I was a blind devoted Middlesex fan - born in the county so I kind of stuck with them. Now I couldnt care less, particularly in the light of that last match of 2016. And until I moved to Mallorca I was many a year in Hampshire so of course one gets to support the county where one lives. Having said this, I no longer follow a team out of blind devotion, and have learnt that there are other teams that may be deserve their special moment. In cricket it would be Somerset winning the County Championship and someone like unsung Gloucestershire to win the T20.
