Was away last weekend, these newbies been banned or something?

I thought they were a good laugh myself.

Was no need but seems like they got banned.

I believe they would have settled down eventually...I liked them

 

Just had a sneaky peak at their prem board and a frying pan thread still adorns their first page.

How is this forum ever supposed to get new members?

I had a quick catch up, can't even see a thread on which there was any ban worthy behaviour, unless it was on another board?

And you're right, this forum has a shelf life.

They went to GC, produced some tears, and the fall-out got them banned.
I think that's how it went anyway.

I made the decision to ban them Chief and some members who have replied to this thread were aware of my reason, and no one complained it was the wrong decision;

I received numerous complaints and some from individuals that never complain so I had to make a decision as follows...

When Monkey intially joined the site, he kept PMing me to make him L2 mod. I politely ignored, I have a site to protect and putting tools into the hands of newbie so keen is risky. Even Tobes had acknowledged this point supporting that an Everton site he used to frequent got wrecked due to such complacency or was my interpretation of his words.

Monkey kept on so much he got my suspicion up, just because someone signs up for a site as someone from another forum does not mean it is who they say they are - but either way, I had concerns from above, albeit no harm could be done unless i afforded him the tools.

We then saw him create a thread with this OP;

Kev you are obviously **** scared of that Scottish ****.

Fight back we have your corner.

Tell him to go and finger his mum and then wipe his fingers on his dad's gravestone.

Show him what he could have had if he wouldn't have had a stroke.

I don't know Chief but maybe you would let this pass on your club board....but that's now two points.

Then we then saw GC invaded. My inbox in the last week has been full of complaints. This on top of Aldo and Joe coming to a misunderstanding on Monkey's thread, one that I had to intervene on and resulted in two regular users of the forum getting banned to calm the situation. So that is now three points.

Then Monkey created the caption thread, it was clear poke at Sunderland fans....AND he even wrote this as a caption....Look fatha I've told you man I dont want to play football i want to have sex with children. Something was going on and Comm seemed to be targeted for an attack, and got me suspcious once again that monkey may not be who he seems.

Sorry if others find him amusing, but after numeorus warnings my patience run out, which I did give. I was then asked by an independent not involved in the Prem board, why I hadn't banned Monkey!?....I then realised on back of the previous complaints I had to do something.

I'm not really sure why I have to explain all this once again but people are not happy unless they are giving me sshite. I clear this forum of spam daily that would wipe out your club boards, i have to make judgements on who's genuine and who's not. I probably wouldn't be exaggerating if i said at least 30 potential socks have been made in the last two weeks. I like to enjoy the forum too and not deal with this shhite everyday. Maybe it's time to sit back and let this forum fall flat on it's face, then you might all realise the controls in place keeps this place what it is and if you don't believe me, ask @PISKIE (I think it was) what happened last time i overlooked a spammer in the net who looked genuine. I'll tell you...it wiped out his board and took me ages to clean up.

I understand the workload issue for you...all you had to do was dump them onto us...as is how life works on here...they would have found their place
