Traore did OK for me, first game & all that. Personally I'm more concerned about Gabbidon's liking for passing to opposition players!

    QPR given Traore boost

NEIL Warnock has been given a boost after the news that Armand Traore's injury isn't as bad as first feared.

The QPR new-boy limped out of last night's draw with Newcastle midway through the second-half clutching his thigh.

However, the £1.5million signing from Arsenal was just suffering with cramp.

“I thought it was something serious," admitted boss Warnock afterwards.

“He's been going out with Taarabt too much. I said to him he [Adel] is fitter than him because he doesn't get cramp!"

Spot on! - I thought he had a blinder! - considering the bad press he has had over the last few weeks.
Warnock made me laugh - I didnt think 20 year olds got cramp <laugh>

we have some proper defenders at the club now, Ferdinand was class with his distribution from the back (Gorrkks used to hoof it out) and proper defending from the full backs if Gabbidon gets his act together (concentration seems a problem) this could be the best back 4 we have had for years.

Traore looked class for most of the first half. Connolly also did OK when he came so I don't know why people feel the need to knock him here. TBH we were never that stretched last night but IMO if there was a weak link at the back I thought it was Gabbidon. That's being picky however - great performance by the whole team overall.

Thought Traore played very well - might be rose tinted goggles due to the left backs we've been used to over recent years (Hill aside). Pace, touch, can pass, attack, cross - signs are good so far. Could definitely tell he was an Arsenal player. My only minor concern going forward would be he looks so confident, sometimes almost casual and seemed to have that Arsenal trait of ''I will do anything but hoof this long'' even when the best option a couple of times was to just clear it to safety.

    All in all, good debut.

I thought he looked like (a much faster) Gary Borrowdale leaving the 2nd centre forward to the 2nd centre back and standing free in “no man’s land” just away from the danger area

I seem to be in a minority of 1 though on this

Does anyone know how bad his injury is? In my opinion if he was on for the whole second half we would have probably won the game. What a great attacking threat him and Luke Young were in the first half!

He always looked to have time even when under pressure I think he will become a very good player, knows how to play the simple pass as well

That's funny I am sure that is about 3 this week. I will have to take a leaf out of your book and spend my life posting worthless drivel on a football forum.

How about the new guy. Didn't you see him. He streaked across the pitch shortly before half-time like a bolt of lightning and then leaped into the paddocks. He looks quality.

I like that lad, LIUTB. Whenever he comes on he shakes it up. Seriously, its a shame he doesn't post more often. We need characters like him on the forum to keep things ticking over.

North, you got any incentives to encourage the lad to become a more regular contributor? :emoticon-0105-wink:
