    It's scary he is one of our main strikers ffs, what the hell is Ashley and co thinking that he is going to get us goals.

    Watching the game last night with Man Ure fans who are friends of mine. Was actually embarrassed by his ineptitude. My gran has a better touch than Wor Shola.

    A post from myself earlier today....

    Arsenal 0-0
    Sunderland 1-0 (Ryan Taylor Set Play)
    S****horpe 2-1 (Ryan Taylor Set Play / Sammy)
    Fulham 2-0 (Best)
    QPR 0-0

    Out of 5 games we haved scored 3 goals from open play this season by...2 Best, 1 Sammy....(not including pre season here)...

    Shola Ameobi has never featured in a game we have scored in open play....

    Mortal of the story....Shola Ameobi is everything wrong with Newcastle...the bloke is terrible...for years he has been dragging us down...How does the management not see we play better without him....look so far this season we cannot score from open play when he is on the pitch and the game he doesnt play we score both times???.....

    The jury is still out on him but Ba did a lot more in the time he was on the pitch than Shola did the whole match....won more headers, less fouls and passed better....Until we drop him we will never have anything upfront....i would rather play Ba with Obertain / Marveux behind until Ben Arfa comes back....

    I know Ba has been poor too, but I think it sums Shola up to say that even in his short appearances so far, even Ba has moved more and looked more lively. That is not acceptable on Shola's part. I'm sure I'll get hit with his lovers saying he does "unseen work", he is a great professional, and deserves more respect from the fans. Well for me you need to earn it by doing the hard yards on the pitch. His closing down of the opposition is nothing short of a disgrace. Its laziness, nothing else. We are now at a time when we need to improve. We've had a good solid start, if we want to continue there is no room for misplaced sentiment because he is a nice lad.

    I dont care about getting stick of his 'lovers' ...yes he is loyal simply coz no one else would buy him coz he is a big parcel of ****e!...the bloke is a pathetic excuse of a footballer!

    Must admit I don't worry about those guys, they'll twat us regardless! I'd be more about teams like Villa (Bent) and Spurs (VDV and Defoe). They will not be so kind as Bothroyd who never actually made me think he was gonna make use of the Alamo type domination!

    Regardless Shola needs to dropped for good now. I'd be looking to get rid of him and Lovenkrands.

    Very true dude. Yes we're 4th which is awesome but any team with any flair/attacking prowess will rip us apart. Tiote looked a liability, R. Taylor also, Simpson is weak tho was decent last night, Colo prone to the odd moment of insanity. That's almost fine if we can score but whenever we strung anything decent together Shola just slowed down the play/lost the ball and started their attack off.

    My formation for Villa:

    GK Krul
    RB R.Taylor
    LB Santon
    CB Colo
    CB S. Taylor
    DM Tiote
    CM Cabaye (further forward)
    LW Jonas
    RW Obertan
    AM Marveaux
    CF Ba

    More creativity/mobility needed and bad.

    He's a ****ing disgrace, useless lazy excuse for a footballer. If he starts against Villa, Pardew needs shooting (but not by Shola cos he'd miss!)
