#bbcsalford have already bumped the parade story from their main football page It's only viewable from their Liverpool page now

Parade attendance: Fourmidables 100,000 #sixtimes 750,000 Manchester must have been bussing people out of the city to get so few people there
I still can’t believe how good we were defensively throughout the game. It was a proper ****house performance, complete with time wasting. And this shows how far we have transformed under klopp. For many years now (we had only one way to play which was just pure attaching). But now, we can move through the gears at will, control games, or see them out with arguably the best defence in the world.)
I said this to my son who was saying we were poor, I thought we were brilliant and just stopped them playing.
Don’t get me wrong, I wish we got on the ball more and tried to control the tempo but we just shut them out. Brilliant defensive performance. This reds team is a serious outfit. We didn’t win this through fluke or luck. We are genuinely one of the best in Europe.
Best first XI in Europe Now we just have to increase our squad depth to compete with the likes of Man Utd
Well we may not have shown Europe how to play in a CL final but we certainly showed them how to put on a victory parade. The route was changed from previous years so I had to walk a little further than to the top of our road. It was only a five minute walk and boy was it worth it. Everyone in great spirits, young and old. There were little ones in LFC kits and older ones in their scarves and shirts from previous eras. We stood by a couple of obviously match going lads with all the banter getting those around in the mood. Lots of Allez Allez and When the Reds Go Marching in. An old couple, must be in their 80's, both wearing red and white scarves and using walking sticks, had to sit down on the wall and everyone left a clear space around them so they could see the buses go past. I've been to all the homecomings going back to the 60's and there's been nothing like this not even in 2005. I think everyone who participated will remember the parade more than the actual game
